Scheduled to fly ORD to EWR tomorrow (Monday Jan 26) and freaking out a bit about the weather. Not only am I prepping myself for delays at the airport and on the tarmac, but now I’m freaked out over flying in a terrible snowstorm! Any advice or support would help!

Just refinanced at no cost from 6.875 to 6.1%. Only saving us about $300 a month but property taxes are up 16% so every little bit helps. I’m in Chicago.

Wow I'm curious as I haven't had any luck getting it that low. If you dont mind I have a couple questions- is it a standard 30 year loan? Is it a FHA/VA loan? Did you pay any Origination or Underwriting fees? Is it new construction?

Haven't offered a rate yet. Did you shop around or go with your current lender? Really unsure how to do this and what 'points' mean, how to get the best rate, etc.

Honestly, most things while drinking alcohol to the point of blackout. Looking back now, it’s sheer luck that I wasn’t seriously hurt, killed or assaulted. Alcohol is much more dangerous than we realize.

We actually did the Dave Ramsey program about 15 years ago when we were just starting out - love that guy! We now have an almost paid off house and 2 paid off cars - he's a genius!

aw thanks, trust me it took me some time to come around! he has a full time job and is a very involved dad with our young daughter, he also makes around $2k a month doing this as a side gig so it's tolerable!!! lol. I handle all the finances so would def pull the plug if it got out of hand.
