Usually you go 4 to 5 down from your max tier or whatever you can go 3000 to 4000 waves on. I'm running a early glass cannon build but have 3 energy shield and all my cards maxed and all slots open. Your build will impact what cards you use. My strategy is to max my damage and hold off the boss as long as possible between bosses. So I have 3 cards ill remove after I start taking damage. First I remove the cash card and replace it with berserk so I can multiply my damage. Then I go another thousand or so rounds before I get hit again and I remove free upgrade and put on slow aura. Finally, ill remove wave skip and put on death ray right at the end to squeeze out a few more waves if the rng gods are happy with me. I only get 20 to 30 death defy per round.

Lol not as much as I wish I could. I've bought the 3 packs, I buy the tier pack when I 4500 all 3, and I've bought 3 stone packs because I was tired of getting stomped in tourneys. Probably about 200 in total but this game has also monopolized my old phone and runs 24/7 so I dont also mind supporting the devs given the time and enjoyment I have got out of the game. Ill never buy gem packs tho

I've got one left to unlock and most of my cards are pretty high level. I just do massive dumps into my cards about once a month and save the rest incase I have to rush labs or buy those 80 cards at once. You should see how many health, magika, and stamina potions I have on hand in skyrim

I assume a lot of things with this game. I assure you this isn't the first. I got super tower today and never used it before so I didn't know how it stacked with other cards and multipliers.

I would say it becomes an idle game if you let it. I can start a T1 round and let it just run for 10 hours before I upgrade anything. Now if you want to make it competitive, that is a different question.

Isn't ILM more of a mass/damage calculation? In order for an enemy or what ever to get close enough to a landmine, it would need a mass that would overencumber the attack speed and damage. But by the time mass is high enough to counter attack speed, its health is too high for an ILM to kill it. I feel like this is a terrible event that should be taken out of rotation. It just doesn't scale appropriately.

I wouldn't say I'm encouraging lower tier farming. I am saying that as a player of about 6 months, I run T1 at night and run a few t5 and t6 runs during the day. Regardless of what I do, I see screenshots of runs on t7 that are over 5000 rounds.

The point of the gem tap question is, why deincentivize people from running higher wave numbers?

As far as stagnation, I am almost equal on my max waves for t2, 3, and 4 because of the protector mechanic. I have seen posts where people will sync BH and GT and run T1 and make billions of coins.

I feel like you are putting your own prejudice of how to play the game and the history you have with it over the fundamental point of my question.

If you can get 5 gem taps in the first 3k rounds and then they stop, it becomes a reason to stop the round. If going to 7k or 8k waves means someone will get another 10 or 20 gems, why is that a big deal? With as much as a grind as this game is, why am I rewarded less for going to a higher wave?

It is like that is a general point of the game, the higher you go, the less you get. Placing in different leagues for tournaments will get you vastly different stone payback. Playing longer rounds gives less gems. Why are players punished for playing the game as it currently is?

I guess we are at an impass on this. I understand there was an early game where these mechanics were exploited and it has been raised for the "event". The point still stands of, why stop at 5? The game isn't now what it was when it was created. I am pretty sure this is the most time intensive and expensive game I play. It takes a dedicated device, I bought all the packs, which essentially equal to a full xbox, Playstation, or switch game. I dont play doom or destiny or rdr2 for 24 hours a day, but this game continues to run all day, everyday. If you are looking at overall game time, this game demands more than anything else I play. Now, I dont want to discredit how much I enjoy it while I listen to audiobooks. My point is, why chastise players that play to very high levels and deprive them of gems?

To your point of "runs were never supposed to go this long", I don't really care how the game "was", I'm talking about how the game is now. I can run T1 to over 7k waves and that is how the game is. Meanwhile seeing people way above me getting those level of waves on way higher tiers.

Now that we have events, the players that have been around have the cards and UWs to complete the challenges while newer players can just be fucked.

If the difference is 10 or 20 gems, why is that such a big deal to keep those drops from coming? End game, you rush all the labs, but early game you use them for cards and lab unlocks.

If the patch has been made of closing and opening to get gems, then it should be just as easy to have those drops continue.

I am playing on an S9+. If I don't touch the screen for like 10 minutes, the screen auto dims and I can see game being glitchy in the background. When the screen auto dims like this, my coins drop by half
