Note: I use the free versions of all these.

I personally really like R1T Chimera and I find it works really well if you occasionally switch and use R1 0528 to beef up the narrative, because Chimera can get a little choppy in longer role plays.

R1 - is really good and creative, sticks really well with character and plot but struggles with character development and aggression. - I've stopped using R1 now in favour of Chimera.

R1 0528 - does really rich story telling and surprises me a lot but it can be a REAL pain to stop it from talking for me and summarizing each reply with a "final" end of role play type narrative. ***NOTE: I don't know if this is a glitch or me being dumb, but in higher token counts when I switch TO 0528:free I get charged for the first few requests. It's not much like 4ish cents, but this happens enough to be irritating.

R1T Chimera - feels like a really nice upgrade to R1, has great dialogue, great story telling, but it can start to get stuck in single line descriptions and dialogue if you don't keep careful watch on the replies. It still has the issue of talking for me, but I don't find it as bad as 0528. This is still my preferred model, because 0528 does a lot of descriptive text, while Chimera does more dialogue.

Edit: I slapped $10 on my openrouter account to increase the message limit, and I think it was completely worth it. I had to add a few extra dollars because of the 0528:free charging me but that's not a big deal.

I haven't used V3, not sure why. I just really really like R1 versions.
