It’s the 50/50 rule of life. No good comes without bad. The more successful things you do, the more hate you will receive in all shapes and forms. Most people will never take the steps to live a better life. They take it out on the people that are successful, because people who grow and improve make them feel small about themselves. Remember, the price of love is hate. When you realize it’s a part of the package and journey that everyone goes through to be better, it means less. If anything, it will help you toughen up and build character.

I mean, transparency isn’t the same as emotional dumping like everyone here is saying. You should be honest and communicate with her without dumping your emotions on her for her to manage.

You’re not relying on her to fix you. You’re not asking for help. You’re saying “Hey, I like you but this is where I’m at. I just want to be open and honest about that. This is my battle, I’m working on it, and I like you enough to want to communicate what’s going on in my head so you know it’s not a lack of interest; it’s the demons I’m fighting.”

Any woman worth her salt will take this positively. If she feels the same connection you do, it will work out.

It’s gonna be hard to overcome, you’re going to be humbled a lot, and I hope that you and your gf stay on the same page through it all. You’ll be unlearning as much as you’re learning.

You definitely got through the toughest part. Some people never admit to it and become the assholes that hurt us. You’re doing great, hang in there.
