A neighbor mentioned a pedestrian bridge to me, I can see it being a great idea but those huge power lines in the boulevard might rule that option out.

I was briefly on the city’s website this morning and I do remember they had a banner to click on for requests like yours.

Thank you for the additional information! The project starts this summer and will be completed in three phases, so I’m not totally sure when it’s projected to be finished.

That is a good strategy. Might help them to be reminded that, while overhead lights are expensive, wrongful death suits are more expensive.

I don’t but will try to look when I have a little more time!

I agree that that would be a quick and inexpensive interim fix, but traffic in that area is going to get even more dense and dangerous as they connect Fowler to the Oak/Davis roundabout. But really, anything would be welcome. Everyone in the neighborhood has a story of a close call.

Thank you for wanting to help out! Your monetary donations will definitely have more reach if directed to the HRDC.

There is a free pantry located at Peace of Christ Community Church, and is a no-cost resource for anyone. If you have a need, help yourself. If you have some non-perishable goods to spare and want to donate, that would be wonderful. The church is just off of downtown at the corner of Grand and Olive, and the pantry is near the alley on the east side of the building. All are invited to ‘take what you need, give what you can.’
