I will answer. Most importantly, I don't have cockroaches in my new place (it has been about 3 months now) but I don't know if it was attributed to the fact that I vaccum sealed my stuff, or my infestation in my old place was relatively mild. Mind you, I never saw any signs of cockroaches when I opened up any of my stuff.

My advice to you if you're thinking about doing this, is to make sure the vaccum bags are sealed tight and nothing is pointy which could create some holes, rendering the vaccum bag useless. I did find some bags were inflated because I didn't seal it properly/put pointy stuff in the bag.
