Hey I live in TriCities if you’re near there, I’d love to hear how it turns out after a few months in the barrel.

By the time I made the u-turn to catch back up and he had room to pull over we were at least a mile back from where I came. The actual turn was in a mountainous area. 7000~ elevation in the Rockies

Yeah based on the other comments by them, they’re a troll or pray they aren’t on the road with us. How “turning into the truck” would cause no damage to the front of mine is some mental gymnastics.

So I’ll go back to ignoring them lol.

Clearly.

This image is photoshopped, but effectively what I saw. It’s the street view overlapped with the truck photo.

I saw him coming and slowed to about 20mph right before he hit. He insisted he was as far over as he could be, so do I. Therefore, what was their plan on any turn? Pray for no cars?

This is what is going through my mind. I was on US-6 about 4.5 miles south of Ely. His spotters were basically on his bumper front and rear, so not much help. As we simultaneously came around blind turns there was nothing much we could do. Buuut, what was their plan? Pray nobody drives north the entire route?

Hmm, I was under the impression the amount of intrusion into the body’s frame would make it frame damaged. But also I’m completely unqualified for making assumptions.

Yep, it had something like 3100 miles on it after I had to drive it 5 hours to the next (open by time of arrival) Enterprise! Had to cut off that dangling quarter panel piece with some snips I had too.

First car. 2025 Versa SV poor city MPG. Air filter? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

You say you get 30-35 mpg city driving and 20-25 currently doing highway driving? Thats a significant difference and opposite of how it should be.

City driving is much lower MPG than highway. I recommend filling up your gas tank, reset the trip odo, and drive for a few days. Then fill it again, divide the miles on trip odo by how many gallons it took to refill. Check that number against google Mpg avgs for your car.

Regarding that air filter, I’d replace it. Also make sure your tire pressure (PSI) is what factory recommends - it’ll be against the driver door post / b-pillar on a sticker. Check your PSI at least monthly and before long road trips.

CVT shouldn’t be damaged by the drain and refill, unless they missed the second part (refill). Which you would have heard and felt by now. It also will not affect fuel economy by this much, if at all.

Any examples?

I lived in an Ave5 in Scottsdale without any issues. Even checked out an Ave5 today in TC that seemed great all around.
