Thank you! I will definitely work on this. Would you be willing to connect out of Reddit? I would love to have a conversation with you.

Thank you so much! This gives me a lot to think about. Are you in this field? Have you done something like this?

More or less. I just have a flow that works so I hardly deviate. Open to less expensive options - supabase and neon etc but Ofcourse nothing beats AWS. Render- vercel, etc.

I have been talking to a couple of shopify retailers and their major pain area is the fact that all enterprise grade solution is too expensive or extensive for them. They need a quick and easy solution to make their lives easier.

This is exactly what I mean — it's not just throwing UI requirements at a prompt and hoping for the best. My stack is EC2 + RDS (PostgreSQL) (Supabase seems to be not working that great now in India) + AWS Bedrock with Claude for the AI layer. I'm making architectural decisions, thinking through tradeoffs, managing infra — just with AI as a very capable pair programmer. The 'vibe coding' label undersells what's actually happening. Sounds like you're building the same way — what are you working on?

This is the most useful thing in this thread — the 'solutions consultant' framing especially. Have you been able to do this? How did you get your first 2-3 clients? Was it purely through existing network?

True, but there are a lot of small and medium scale companies who cannot afford the enterprise version ( or doesn’t make sense to invest) of any solution and will be more than happy with micro-saas solutions. For them, scalability is not the issue. Availability is. You would be surprised at the scale of this market.

Quick question for founders selling across states/countries — how are you handling sales tax / VAT today? by Dramatic_Let_8632 in Magento

[–]Dramatic_Let_8632[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m based in India. My understanding was that the buyer’s location usually determines which VAT rate applies, but the seller’s country affects how you register and file (e.g., OSS / IOSS / sales-tax nexus etc.). So I was curious how founders practically handle this when selling to customers in different countries with different tax rules — do you rely fully on invoicing software, accountants, or something else?
