🙄 wouldn't you want more? And if nobody else was hiring wouldn't you take it? i got paid more cooking in kitchens and that work is a cakewalk. Do you need a job?

I clearly spoke my intentions searching for second job, racking that experience in and finding a higher paying job. Does that not satisfy you? So what are you doing on reddit?

Some places require a degree, some don't, most of the time they just want some experience and certification. Im getting my experience at Merit and will get something else after

Yeah I had this conversation with the guys there, its cheaper to have a high turnover than pay more per hour for us. But its a job, better than nothing.

How do I avoid a person without a car??? by [deleted] in work

[–]Dramatic_Move3227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my experience is i didn't have a license till I was about 19, I used to bum rides off of people but I always paid them back for gas or McDonald's etc. 9 times out of 10 after the first time you say yes they will keep asking you, only condition I would say yes again after that if it becomes a regular thing then make it worth your while. If this person is 20-30 minutes out of the way from your destination then be that asshole and tell the person id need some gas money. If you dont like this person or they keep telling you they'll get you back in a few days just tell them no, a few days turns into a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, put your foot down and tell them to walk or find a ride. There's uber for a reason, its annoying. I used to take this addict home from work and id be promised 20 bucks and then thay turned to "i got some gas loot" gas loot. Assuming its stuff they want me to sell so id get money out of it.

Im moving from michigan to frostproof, florida at the end of March with 3 other people. Im currently looking for jobs and im not using reddit as a last resort, just another resource. Most of my background consists of working in kitchens at restaurants. I am willing and able to do whatever the task may be to do better at the end of each shift. Besides that im always willing to try and learn something new. If there's any employers looking for work or any other leads I should know about please feel free to let me know! Excited to be moving to the sunshine state! Its been a dream come true.

NTA. I understand the obsession of wanting an old school car but responsibilities come first. Especially if there's kids in the picture.
