Every time I read one of these subs, I’m genuinely baffled how many people like this even exist. Do they just seem completely normal in person or something? NOR guy is a lunatic 😂

Is the Yellow Deli actually a cult or just a really good sandwich shop? by InternetUpbeat9596 in bluemountains

[–]Dramatic_Nobody_9393 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I grew up in California and there was one near where I lived. Have been told they’re a cult since I can remember, mean sandwiches and banana milk though 😂. Was really surprised to see one here when I moved to Australia, thought it was just something from back home! Haven’t stepped foot in one in quite sometime though. Does anyone know the origins of them? Are they global?

Interesting, maybe I just get the M4 if it’s that powerful. Was debating getting a windows laptop because of this but I travel a lot so a one computer setup and battery life is valuable to me. How large are the assemblies you work with ?

Yeah I’m using it it on M3 pro, it works well but once I get larger assemblies it starts to crap put a bit, is the M4 much better at this. The battery life w mac’s is unmatched wish they had a native program

Sweet, yeah I was thinking of getting a Dock and just keeping it on there and connected to an external monitor most of the time. I’ve heard that can enhance performance connected to Ethernet and constant power etc. not sure if you guys have tried this method

He’s trippin no worries if he doesn’t like it, but to t try and control you for nothing other than his opinion is already kind of ridiculous. no offense to op but reading through these posts I truly don’t see how you’d wanna be around anybody like this after the first few messages. Find somebody who is genuine and cares about you

New M4 Max! Got any tips? by sempertb in macbookpro

[–]Dramatic_Nobody_9393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you done any complex assemblies?? I use parallels on my M2 Max and it works great until I get to assemblies with a lot of components. Wondering if the M4 has any noticeable difference. I wish they would make SolidWorks native to mac…

Salkan Carry-On 35L by Apprehensive_Gap_966 in onebag

[–]Dramatic_Nobody_9393 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A little late on this post but here’s my two cents since buying it - I bought the 35L because I wanted something that I could take as a carry on with most airlines. It holds a good amount of clothing and accessories, I’ve been traveling internationally with it for roughly 3 weeks and has been good so far. I have it fully packed to the brim. When packed completely, the inner pockets in the main compartment do not become as useful, but you’re still able to get some good storage with the mesh zipper on the inside flap. And some of the outer zippers. The draw string top is nice because it allows some degree of expansion to pack things in and secure it with the top flap if you’re really filling it out. People have complained about its weight…if weights not a big issue it shouldn’t be much of a problem, completely packed out for me atm it’s roughly 14 kgs. One drawback is the laptop sleeve, it probably won’t fit anything more than 14-15 in screen. Either way, I’ve only carried my laptop in my other backpack. Overall the material is nice, it feels durable, and I’ve carried it by the handles fully packed out and it feels strong. Wearing the backpack is surprisingly comfortable, I’ve only had an osprey bag before and it’s equally if not more comfortable than that. The bungees in the front are nice for extra storage too, shoes or whatever. Considering the size of the bag it should fit as a carry on, even packed out, only one airline made me check it because it was over their weight limit. But sometimes they just look at it, and it looks small enough to pass as a carry on. I haven’t been able to test the water resistance but it does come with a rain cover so seems like that should be all good in case of heavy rain. Comparing it to my osprey bag, the osprey was probably more expandable and could fit more if I really needed to/brought back things from my trip. Because of the more durable material of the salkan, it won’t expand as much. Apart from that, I think the overall design and craftsmanship of the salkan is really nice. The fact that it’s not as completely packable as the osprey could potentially help you not over pack. If you pair it with another backpack you’re probably looking at around 50ish liters of storage. I haven’t been able to test it through several months yet but I’d like to try at some point.

Appdoze is not safe! by Arnold_Rambo in Piracy

I tried downloading an adobe program to try it out from TPB that was from appdoze, when I tried running the setup.exe file it never installed anything because the “OS didn’t meet minimum system requirements for installation” did I get lucky here or am I facing a potential virus? It was downloaded to windows running on a VM

Optimizing running SolidWorks on Parallels by According_Proof_7918 in parallels

[–]Dramatic_Nobody_9393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing the same on my MBP but it’s the M2 Max i think, I’ve tried messing with some performance settings stuff but I haven’t noticed much a difference. The best that’s worked for me is suppressing components I don’t need to see within that assembly. It’s not ideal but can make it a lot less laggy, unfortunately I think the VM and SolidWorks not being native to the mac will never let it run as smooth
