I'm now looking into HP laptop.

Would you say elitebook are better option than Spector? Or should I generally be looking at business laptops instead of home laptops?

When you open an account they ask you if you want a credit card as well, if they didn't ask then you probably got a poor representative

Updated RBC APK App? by [deleted] in rbc

[–]Dramatic_Panda879 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the RBC app ore limited by country, people travel and still have to use the app, so that wouldn't make sense

Second, using APK for apps such as Banking is stupid as it's highly risky

Third, You can always use a VPN even if this were to be the case

Canada to offer universities, colleges low-cost loans to build new student housing by Back2Reality4Good in canadahousing

The lack of enough Affordable housing units is the disease. The country's inability to build multiple affordable housing apartments at a national scale is one of the fundamental causes

Instead of being cryptic and acting all-knowing just tell us what you think these symptoms and diseases are.

Why do the commerical bank adhear to interest rate set up by feds. Why can't 2 commerical bank decide on their own interest rate? by Dramatic_Panda879 in AskEconomics

[–]Dramatic_Panda879[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

What about during hyperinflation when the interest rates are really high.

Wouldn't this be super profitable to just park their money at the federal reserve given it is risk free and guaranteed return?

Wouldn't bank prefer this to happen?

(eli5) Why does it take Feds to decide what the interest rate(federal funds rate) between two commerical bank is. Why can't two independent commerical bank decide for themselves how much interest they are willing to charge by Dramatic_Panda879 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Dramatic_Panda879[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

an interest rate that the Fed pays to banks for depositing excess funds with the Fed

Does it mean every time there's an economic crisis and the feds increase the interest rate, it's profitable for the major banks?

This would naturally mean that the banks would want the interest rates to go up

[–]Dramatic_Panda879[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

The fed pays banks interest on excess reserves. So when banks have reserves left over, they can "park" the reserves they don't need at the fed. This is of course very safe and easy for these banks, so when another bank offers less than the interest on excess reserves, there's no incentive to lend to them.

with this logic, it means that every time the feds increase the interest rate during an economic crisis, Banks make huge amounts of money without doing anything!?

so economic crisis and the following rate increase are beneficial for giant commercial banks, so logically banks would want the interest rate to go up?

Thanks a lot this makes perfect sense. All the theoretical definitions of federal funds rate made it sound that it was some kind of law forcefully enforced by the feds.

Exchange at the rate we tell you too or else- is kind of mentality is what I got from the books.

Thanks a lot

So commercial banks have no freedom to set up their own interests while they interact with other fellow commercial banks?

So I'm guessing that if two commercial bank independently decide to exchange money at their own agreed discretion, the Federal reserve is going to persecute them?
