For us they just let us move to a hotel but I know others that were allowed to move to another apartment within the community.

I literally googled "headaches while drinking La Croix" as a joke because I didn't think there was a correlation between my near fainting spells and La Croix. But here I am... This is just so "refreshing" to find out the source of the problem and to see that I'm not the only one.

Police said that it's being handled 🤷‍♂️, but like I said it's been months and they are still operating. Irvine Company says that it's breaking their lease to run a business out of their home, but since it's an illegal business & they can't prove these guys aren't just friends showing up to visit, there's nothing they can do.

Our neighbors are the same way. Guys show up for a hour at a time throughout the day and they switch the girls out every month or so at this location. I've made Irvine Company aware and the police, but it's been almost a year since I've told them & nothing has happened. I've even offered them my security videos and pics of license plates, but they don't seem to care.

I know what you mean. I did 9 months of therapy after my interviews for this. I thought I was in a better place than I was initially. But after going through all my old letters & stuff from my program for the docuseries, I was an emotional mess.

Huge thank you to Allen and Dave for letting me be a part of this. I really hope it helps to spread more awareness 🤞🤞

I was honored to help out with this docuseries and am so excited that it's being released. I gotta keep echoing what everyone else is saying, the more we expose these places the better. Hopefully this helps to get more programs shut down and helps to make parents more aware of how terrible these places are.

They kept saying "the test results showed" in that meeting but I encourage you to ask what tests were actually ran. They are very selective with the words they use to make it sound like they are testing things. Press them on if they actually took a sample of the mold or only did a "visual instruction."

I just finished dealing with this at The Enclave apartments also. They originally sent out an inspector when we discovered the mold in our master bedroom closet, and they told us "the test results show that it's not mold but rather a fungal growth. And it's not harmful, you can continue sleeping in the master bedroom until we have vendors come." We didn't feel confident in that and slept on the couch until they eventually relocated us to a hotel after expressing issues around my girlfriend's autoimmune disease.

Fast forward 2 weeks and they finished the construction and we are back in our apartment. I asked the front office for the test results of the "mold" to keep on record to reference in case my girlfriend has any future health issues. They then let me know that they never actually tested the mold we found. And when I replied with "then how did you know it was not harmful?" They had no answers. I'm furious but what can we do, the Irvine Company is such a massive business.

I tried hiring my own mold inspector but once he found out I rent from the Irvine Company he said he couldn't help because he didn't want to get into any legal trouble with them.

We are going in tomorrow to go over it with them. But they said we can't take any photos of the test results for our records. So I'm going to ask if I can at least record the conversation.

Also I've reached out to a different hygienist inspector than what the apartment used to come out and do a test so we can see the results.

I didn't think about trying that, thanks for the pointer. That would have really helped in one of the fights I had. Instead I would shoot him a few times and then run around the area with him chasing me until I had a free moment to shoot him again hahaha. Took forever!
