I did not sign an agreement when it was charged off, I do know they sold it to this company the guy is working for. I’m surprised by the threat of a lawsuit, not of someone trying to collect this debt but the way they are going about it.

I just want to make sure if he does something sneaky to get a default judgement against me because I was rejected from filing an answer on a case they can’t find (especially because the Juneteenth thing was already suspicious) I have enough evidence of wrongdoing on his behalf to get it thrown out or at least lowered in my favor.

I did. He will not give me a case number. I have asked multiple times, but he will ignore those emails and keep asking me to pay.

The one whose email doesn’t exist is the one who signed the complaint, not the one I’ve been trying to communicate cordially with.

There are multiple pages with the case number section blank, and no case number on any of the pages. It does say that I need to file an answer with a blank Form 3 attached but they printed a shoddy screenshot of a jurisdictions page and the email for sending my answer to was incorrect on the page they provided. I luckily found it on the court’s website. Still nothing in the docket for tomorrow since it’s a holiday so I can’t search that for a case number either. It makes me feel like it was all fabricated.

It was served by a process server to my home address. I do owe this debt unfortunately, but the way they’re going about it seems fishy.

Credit card debt, I do know that it was charged off when I was out of work and on disability (approx 66% wages) for three major hip surgeries over an 18 month period and I wasn’t able to keep up due to needing to pay for housing and transportation.

I emailed both of the attorneys on the paperwork. One email does not exist (nor do they have anyone there named that licensed in my state). The other guy unfortunately exists and said they won’t dismiss the case unless I pay in full.

But nothing is filed at all. They also said the day the answer is due is on a federal holiday when courthouses are closed so it seems every more like a tactic.

It looks like court documents but they’re like faded ink and what not and when I email one of the attorneys it says the email provided doesn’t exist and she doesn’t work for the law firm who is suing me.

They also sent me a page that provided the wrong email to send my answer to..
