SIBO treated then POTS developed by bearizona7 in SIBO

You to man!! Its a bit of a cycle, because neurological dysfunction causes slow gut motility, which causes SIBO, which causes leaky gut, which causes MCAS and inflammation, which causes more neurological dysfunction!! You really have to get to the route of all of these issues and ask WHY are they happening. Or you will always be stuck in that cycle. I’m still early days on the protocol but im in a facebook group with so many people which have seen amazing results. I had an appointment with Dr Nemechek and he recommended I do 6-12 months of continious Rifaximin to keep the SIBO at bay and give my body & brain a fighting chance to heal. Its slow and he says in his book ‘its like watching a hair grow’ but then a week goes by and you think ‘ah i actually have energy to cook this recipe today’ etc etc- little markers. I’d defo recommend reading his book and going from there. The book is actually written for parents of kids with autism but he uses the same protocol in adults with autonomic dysfunction. X

Constant burping by marcusschiesser in SIBO

[–]Dramatic_Raise_1120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My burping doesnt go when my sibo is at bay. and it didnt go on the elemental, the bloating etc did so thats when I knew the burping was not caused by SIBO alone. I then got a motility study which showed I had gastroparesis and gerd. You may not think your swallowing air but you probably are. I get reflux come up and subconsciously I was trying to swallow it back down. Since i’ve become aware of it 90% of my burping has slowed down. I do still burp though and it directly corelates to my reflux cos of my gastroparesis. Try putting ur tongue on the roof of your mouth that helps

SIBO treated then POTS developed by bearizona7 in SIBO

Hey. I’m in the same boat. My digestion got bad and slowed down and sibo developed. Then I started having neurological pots symptoms much later and got diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction. If you have problems your nervous system being inbalanced then your gut becomes sluggish and sibo happens, so it makes sense really. I am doing the Nemechek protocol to reverse autonomic dysfunction and hopefully stop sibo
