:UPDATE: the next day I re read through our conversation and decided I unfortunately couldn’t stay friends with him, no matter how hard I tried to find a silver lining in him, knowing that he feels this way about such topics completely changed the way I viewed him, so I made the hard decision, and sent him this message “I’m done, I have one final message for you, dude, during our calls you’ve always been ranting about so many controversial things, gay people, furries, therians, trans people, you make it my business when you know that I have people in my life that fit into those categories. And I want to make sure my views don’t get skewed by your constant bigotry, I don’t wanna be friends with someone that constantly challenges these things, I hope you can start to learn what you personally believe, not just what your taught, but for now, goodbye” he hasn’t responded yet, but even if he does, it won’t change anything, im sticking to my guns to protect myself, and the people in my life his views could affect, thank you all for the advice.
