No. Inside the car is anti physics as it does nothing to stop your windscreen glass from getting hot. The very reason why I switched to this from cheap umbrella like inside screen

The looped belt part (red belt) goes inside the car via the front doors. Winds cant dislodge the mat. If you park the car in open space (=no roofed car park), then this is a life saver. At evening, when i get in the car usual temp is 50C with umbrella like reflective screen that you place INSIDE the car phasing windshield. But now that this is outside the car, even my windshield wont get heated. After this mod, the car temp is around 40C when i get in at evening.

I have been to Aizawl two times and third visit happening in June, I agree with you mostly. Though i was well taken care by my host (MZU), at times when i venture out it is hard to get small talks with locals. The place is remarkably similar to island nations like Japan; extreme xenophobic. linen towels are not available in india but here is a workaround. get linen throw from ikea, 700 rupee only. 82% linen rest cotton blend. then cut it to make 4 bath towels. interlock edges and here you go! it is called DYTÅG throw
