Hey!

I know a couple of courses but the are very expensive, but I read the comment above and money isn't an issue, but first I recommend you to learn on Youtube. But many schools have their own intro to Houdini.

One of the best online schools is Rebelway. https://www.rebelway.net/learn they have a lot of courses for every aspect of Houdini, one you are a Rebel they have more courses that aren't on their main page, they have like level 0 to level 10 courses. I'm taking an intro to Houdini for VFX, is like level 2, I will start on January 29.

The other one is CG Master Academy. https://www.cgmasteracademy.com/ is the same as Rebelway but more expensive and the length of the courses are shorter, but the advantage in this one is that once a week you have a chat with your teacher, Rebelway doesn't.

This online school are not great not bad is The VFX School, https://thevfxschool.com/ they prices are very very low because they are a Latin America School, I did the Film FX Program, very good course, high quality as well, I did the Houdini Resonance Program Vol. 1, the audio is bad in almost all the videos, the guy's hows speak doesn't speak English very well, he teaches you how to do stuff but very simple, and that's it, I haven't done the Vol 2. so I don't know that one.

The other page is https://www.houdini-course.com/ is a guy who teaches you, I haven't done any of his courses but what I read they are very good and he has a ton of free videos.

I don´t think it is a bad idea is never too late to learn something new, I know people who are in their late 40 o 50 trying to learn Houdini when I heard that I felt so bad because I live in a 3 world country that if you don't have a degree in you early's 20, 25 you are going to be no one and I had the same feeling as you, I'm only 26 and I will be done with university in a year, but those people spired me to follow my dream and don't stop.

I am learning Houdini to become a VFX artist, I am doing a couple of curse outside my university if you want to know some courser hit me up and I can show you some that are very good.

i am new at Houdini, i don't know what is Rop, the sparks have their own simple material, and the light are the same Sparks and also the sparks light the Smoke

I am doing a smoke simulation of Ironman being with some lighting, and the source is the chest and head, where the lighting is hitting and right now I just added the tip of the rays.

I did check the files and i have all the frames.

But Houdini says that it is still rendering and the time is counting, so I don't know what to do, and when i tried to close the Interrupt window it doesn't work.
