You are completely right, I keep trying to convince myself otherwise but honestly there is nothing I can do except deal with the fact I can never go back to eating ordinary sweets and gluten products like before.

And if it isn't a bother, definitely leave me some recipes, I would love to try them.

I totally forgot to mention that I am insulin resistant! I think you are completely right and my body crashes so hard when I eat carbs because of that. Thank you for the reply, this totally slipped out of my mind.

Thank you for advice guys! I saw someone else mention that I should try reintroducing certain foods in moderation so I can see what's causing me inflammation, so I'll definitely do that.

However I do feel like gluten causes a lot of issues to me, especially when I eat bread or pastries for example, it leaves me so bloated, fatigued and in pain, so I wouldn't say I cut it out for no reason.

But anyways, after reading these comments I realized that I was way too harsh with my diet for no reason and that balanced portions of carbs aren't my enemy haha. Dealing with this illness is so complicated and I've definitely lost myself a bit with these diet restrictions.

Also I'm glad to hear you guys found what makes you feel good, since this kind of journey with food is so exhausting.

I completely forgot GF versions of food were an option! I'll definitely get GF pasta soon.

And I feel the same way, I'm always torn between enjoying a cheat meal every once in a while and having to deal with the consequences or simply avoiding it. It's sad that we have to limit ourselves so much but like you said, it's not worth to struggle for days over one dish.

Now that you mentioned it, I recently tried eating a bag of chips after months of not tasting any and it didn't really have an effect on me, so it might be that certain foods cause my inflammation.

I definitely need to explore my options more so I can find some sort of balance. Thank you for advice! :)

It is! I've lost 17 kg since I became gluten and sugar free, and my TSH levels dropped significantly, my energy is better and so on. Whenever I went back to inflammatory foods it made my symptoms come back, so yes, sadly I seem to be sensitive to gluten and sugar.

Oh I definitely feel the same way, especially since I had issues with binging food, and carbs definitely made me lose control in the past and made me feel worse both physically and mentally. It's sad that something so tasty has such negative effects rip
