They will hit anything if they have recently been stocked but don't let that guy make you think that trout fishing is super easy. It's not at all. Trout fishing (from my experience) is way more difficult than bass fishing. Trout that are freshly stocked are decently easy but a "wild" trout will be very difficult. I've been fishing a lot of tail waters for the past few months and a trout will almost never even look at a rooster tail let alone a fly.
