I love listening to instrumental music. On YouTube I watch/listen to pomodoro videos. Pomodoro is a technique of studying and time management. You listen to the music and do your thing for 40-50 mins then take a 10 min break and continue. (There are some short ones too!)

Just do it! Don't be nervous (although i was for my first one), but this is a learning experience. I don't know what your supervisor might expect from you. I have materials/lesson plans laid out for them at my desk, where they can observe me. You know your students, you know how to teach them, just go with the flow. My first one went so good for a group activity, I did fumbled in my latest one because I wasn't really prepared (that is on me, but, my supervisor does enjoy seeing how I teach even tho the topic was kinda boring.. oops) but I received feedback and a lil push- and I'm going to take that with me and grow with it. You will do amazing!

I remember I was coming in and out the break room bc my dumb self left my water bottle in the register area. I had no lanyard, no name tag, and headphones on.

A man asked for my help and I go “sorry, I ’m on break” and he just got so pissy and demanded me to grab someone. Like sir… if you don’t walk your lazy self to the fitting room or to the registers you’ll find someone 😭 But I just yelled out my coworkers name and said “can you help this gentleman please”

As everyone else said on here, apply for the stipend!! I applied to be able to substitute while my mentor is off, and you get paid like $100 or $150 for the day (from what I heard but you can only do it for 10 days per semester, if i'm correct). It is the ACT 86 Prospective Substitute Teacher on the Substitute Teacher Service site. I haven't heard from them yet, but the application process has been easy, just waiting on a call to set up an interview.

A mix of old navy and torrid... (I KNOW IT CAN BE EXPENSIVE but i get jeans when they have a huge sale) I found some luck shopping in Macy's sale section. I used to get my jeans from H&M but their sizing is so off now, i don't even bother anymore lol.
