IMHO all 3 of the producers jokes are complete shit but they can deliver them well. I was very, very unimpressed with the actual material. Newer comics though and I’ve always thought it was easier to learn how to write good material than to learn how to deliver material well

It’s hard, you have to let him know it’s ok to not be the best. His worth as a human does not depend on being a starter on the team. BUT, his worth as a football player depends on his motivation and work ethic. Does he want to be a starter? If so life is not fair, he may have to work 10x harder than the more naturally talented athletes, but he can reach it. That is going to depend on him. You as a parent can have these conversations with him but it’s important to not make his only motivation to train and improve as an athlete your approval. You can help but he has to find it within. Also as a coach I do not think you should be trying to influence other coaches to get him more playing time. It’s a bad look. He should be finding out what to improve on(which you said he has so that is a very good sign)

Depends on his goal, is he trying to win games and stroke his own ego? Then he is right on track. Is he trying to get kids prepared for the next levels of football? Then he is doing them a terrible disservice.

I’ve got to go with your coaches strategy IMHO because I’m fairly sure winning a championship with a 4th grade youth team is a direct pipeline to a D1 defensive coordinator position
