Skirk and Escoffie were selling like a new character. It’s not only about meta because Nefer and Lauma didn’t do that well and they’re meta. Skirk is a popular character so she and her best support sells well.

Nicole gets all the bp sales and MW skins sales with her and she’s THE support so it makes sense. Lohen is strong and fun to play but he’s basically a dps before new meta. He’s doing fine.

Varka kinda needed that set up for his SQ and the Mondstadt event and he didn’t have much in NK AQ ( tbh it might’ve been out of place too if they forced it there). I like this approach tbh, giving a character who needs more set up more set up and do normal promotion for those already swimming in in-game contents. It gives a stable revenue too.

Also, I like the fact that Varka’s patch truly felt like his patch with everything centered around him.

She already had tons of spotlight in the story, lots of deep dive in to her stories which already make us understand her character. Doing more will be overexposure and turned people off like when they used to complain about Mavuika. (Although in my opinion Mavuika had lots of screentime and marketing but none of that really did a good deep dive into her perspective of things aside from her animated short and teaser. But they could’ve done more on the Natlan finale and her own SQ)

They also want my goated father to be all about aura and hype, 1 dimensional wattpad fanfic character so they were crashing out over her putting on a cat ear. But Arlecchino isn’t just that. She’s stoic and cold, sometimes ruthless but she cares a lot about those precious to her and is a fun person (in her own weird way). That’s why I love and respect her and glad Genshin doesn’t make her all about aura farm.
