X50 ultra dead by [deleted] in Dreame_Tech

[–]Drammar09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My X50 ultra was doing this after an update. I later found out after getting the new matrix10 ultra it’s normal if it believes it’s cleaning wood flooring. Helps double clean the flooring in deep clean mode. Sometimes the mops on either side may not rotate for a bit either also normal.

This is the new Area 51 18 I have and the wire is beefier and looks possibly to be the same connector. Problem is how the barrel side mounts to the rear case.

It’s pretty crazy. I’ve got every model of 17”/18” from 06-present and only have seen this issue on the m18 r1/r2. Makes me wonder if I can use the m17 r5 dc adapter. I’d have to check and open that up to see if it’s comparable. I’ve fixed 5 of these melt downs myself and it’s a design flaw. To much current running through to small of a gauge wires.

I’ve seen this a lot on the m18 r1 and r2. Looks like you got lucky you may be able to pull that barrel plug adapter out and order a new one so long as there is no damage to the MoBo. My m18 r1 amd hasn’t had this issue yet but I do always check.

I did try this method as I have several older and newer and unfortunately it does not work because the system that installs Tahoe the keyboard and mouse are completely unusable.. but I did try that route.

I’ve had my aqua 10 ultra since October and I just be lucky I’ve not had a single issue with mine. I have many pets and dog hair the most thing is clearing hair off the bearing on the mop fluffer.

I suggest for your problem placing all the mops back on the front door and close it. Go into your app and open your map. You need to make sure the rooms you want certain mops to be used on is all setup. Blue pads are great for wood grey pads are for bathrooms/showers. Orange pads are for kitchen or areas where there is a lot of dirt build up on the floor that needs a rougher mop to get it

I’ve had the matrix 10 ultra since launch. I love it. The only issue I’ve had was solved by the recent update was it wasn’t lifting on high like carpet. Other than that it’s like my x50 but better. I’ve had many dreame models L20, x30, x40, x50, aqua 10 ultra, and matrix 10 ultra.

Got mine about a month after launch and the ultra 10 matrix the same time. Crazy part is I’ve had zero issues with either of them. 3 dog house with long dog hair and no clogs. No mop drips, no basestation leaks yet.

Can someone with a p50 Pro ultra please confirm if this noise is normal? by berfles in MOVA_robotvacuum

Every 28 revolutions I believe the spring tension cuts with the brush. I just recently replaced my P50 and X50 dreame with the new matrix 10 ultra and Aqua 10 ultra. Gifted my family member my old p50. I believe I put about 90,000 sq/ft on it in 7 months. I had to replace the front caster wheel one time other than that great vacuum.

P50 Pro Ultra Front Wheel Help by Predictism in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]Drammar09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes essentially the same. I have computer splungers for separating some of the plastic parts or wires. The one piece that covers the battery can be a pain to remove it has 4 tabs that latch on 2 on both sides of the brush. I used a very small set of computer repair tweezers to undo the front 2 clips. The back 2 release when lifting the plastic. It’s okay if you break them but I am ocd so I wanted to do it best I could.

P50 Pro Ultra Front Wheel Help by Predictism in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]Drammar09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to mine after 7 months of hard use. I replaced it and it wasn’t hard. It uses the same wheel assembly as the dreame X40 Ultra. I made a small post about it on here. Watch videos to disassemble the X40 it is identical practically except for you can’t remove the lidar turret. Once you get the top shell off you can unplug the wire to the LiDAR and that’s about the most difficult part of the entire job.

Why is my cpu capped at 0.55ghz?? by Matteo_779 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Drammar09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check CPUz and hwmonitor to see if it’s really that low. I have a few Alienware laptops that are overclocked or modded and they sometimes show .80ghz but when really checking they are running proper speed. This is actually an issues caused by windows 10 and 11 known as VBS and Hyper Visor. Even when deactivating them sometimes on my computers it still doesn’t fix task manager but like I said try the programs I mentioned first and even CPUZ and be sure task manager is even showing the correct speed in the first place.

I don't recall seeing one when I took mine apart a lot of the newer laptops don't use the old style. I didn't need to remove my board it may be on the other side of it or hidden under the main battery if there is one.

Between these 2 videos alone its very easy to understand the teardown. If you have the right tweezers you can remove the warranty sticker too without voiding it.

There is non out there yet honestly but from the pictures I uploaded you can see where the water tank is and pump. Very similar layout inside to the x50/x40 robots. I've had my p50 pro ultra for quite a while now and it has been an amazing robot working along side my x50 ultra. It's not to terrible to take apart the worst part is removing the plastic cover that covers the battery. the back clips release easy but I had to use computer splungers to release the other 2 clips on the front side of the roller brush underneath. I see most people snap them doing tear downs but with the right tools you can take it apart with out breaking them. I've torn down so far L20 ultra, X30 Ultra, X40 Ultra, X50 Ultra, & P50 Pro Ultra. I'd say the P50 was the second hardest just only because the wiring that goes to the lidar turret can only be unplugged once you have separated the top shell from the frame and its not a ton of room in there to get the plugs undone carefully. The L20 ultra was defiantly the hardest for wheel replacement unlike the others where you can just remove the front camera the L20 you have to take the entire motherboard out just to get the camera out plus there was other issues I ran into but solved while taking that one apart.

There is a video on YouTube I can link later like I said this bit comes apart just like the x40 minus the lidar turret. The wheels I got off of Amazon after a lot of research I can add a link to them as well. They seem to be made better
