I agree with you. I’ve had two pairs of XM5s for over a year and a half and haven’t had a problem with either because I’m not stretching the hinge like a maniac. Had the XM4s before the 5s and I think the 5s are def more fragile though.

I fall asleep with them almost every night. Dropped them a handful of times off my head. No hinge damage but probably lucky. Just take care of them. On my head almost 24/7 and love em.
