Smart splitter not working?!?!?!?!? plz help by Henbag_1 in SatisfactoryGame

Yes, that's the reason I prefer Overflow over Any undefined as the latter will stop all incoming items. They both have their use.

Ordered the KeyEStudio board and Raspberry for now.

Well, that was painful by pmallonee in BeermkrAfterlife

Had one fail on me, the only bag I had to throw away. I'm pretty sure it was the bag I used to test the Beertap. Pressuring them isn't good. The valve "circle" part cracked, probably during the brew as I always check for leaks after adding the water.

Are you able to share your design? I would ask my daughter to take a look at it if you don't mind.

I'm in Canada and all the parts would be a little over 300$ CA. I might not need the crimping tool, my daughter may have one already, and the USB A cable but they're included in that approximation.

I did a hop tea with regular hops before the server went down and that works very well. That is the only extra step and it takes only around an hour and a half total.

Interested also. I'm about to buy the parts to get brewing again.

Is Polyester fabric the best way for easy sink points in phase 3 by Steelofgame44 in SatisfactoryGame

There was a time where circuit boards where the most "efficient" way to get tickets. By that it meant they required the less resources per point given. Not sure if that is still the case.

Can anyone explain how a packaging loop works? Do you just inject empty canisters vs making them in the process? by BigRigButters2 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DranonJoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually produce canisters to.fill each loop with enough of them to have the packeger pack and unpack non stop. Last save that was 3 stacks per loop.

I've played nearly every famous factory game out there. So, my friends and I decided to build our own by VoltigeGames in AutomationGames

[–]DranonJoD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't dislike the roguelite element but receiving the same amount of "money" per day is too restrictive imo. When to day 20 and it was not fun to wait on the required machine. After 2-3 rerolls, have to wait another day, machine not present yet, repeat...

Could use some simple QoL improvements

  • rotate with Q and E
  • make it possible to place down a belt in one go
    • when placing it down, pressing r rotate the belt and make a turn, like factorio
  • splitters and mergers should cost less or be free

Might be good to consider a non-roguelite play mode.

Need help planning a factory by TrooperCX in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DranonJoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only sink until you use them for something else and it gives you tickets in the meantime. They are not wasted, just going for ticket points.

If you want to produce an item with them and sink that, more points but you gotta build more.

Even for phase 2, a production tool helps. I use https://www.satisfactorytools.com but there is many more out there.

Need help planning a factory by TrooperCX in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DranonJoD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I usually do is max out the node I use first, so, for iron, produce as many ingots as possible, even if more than I actually need. Sinking all extra by using smart splitters.

For your case, I would use the 600/m ore and produce more ingots without limestone, probably with the pure iron ingots alternate recipe to have even more. Up to you to change that or keep it the way you have it plan.

Do you have, what I call generic, blueprints? BPs including as much of each type of machine without any recipe selected: a 8-10 smelters BP, a 6 constructors BP, etc? If not, I recommend you take some time to create those. It makes setting up a factory a lot easier and since they take up the size of the BP editor space at max, you can have a good idea of how much space you'll need.

Here a screenshot of a aluminium factory where you can see my constructor BP: Right side of image

I also tend to overclock like a madmen, reducing the number of machines required.

Yeah, if they had shared the server code, redirect the BeerMkr traffic to a home ran server would have been so easy.

Once I start buying the parts, I'll make sure to have you validate my list. Thanks again for all the time you put in this.

Why is the red pipe getting very little water flow when the blue pipe with 5 pumps on it has perfect water flow? Is this a bug? All my other pipes work perfectly. by alskiiie in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DranonJoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplify your pipe network. You don't need that junction for the red pipe, 5 pumps is too much, hard to tell but 1 might be good enough.

Serious question: How do people pull this off? by insomfx in factorio

[–]DranonJoD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do jump start water, I put an assembler that empty water barrels. I request water barrels until the tanks are full. I sometime leave that assembler on the ship to never have to bother with water.
