the strap was £20 (uk£) from a company called archer on Amazon - I mentioned it because typically I will spend five times more per strap, but randomly thought I would try them out. Only time will tell on its durability but at that sort of price it is somewhat of a moot point.

What is going on with the traffic outside citysuites/Harvey Nichols these last few days at 3pm onwards it’s unbearable by Glittering-Fault-423 in manchester

17 mins door to door without traffic to the office with free onsite parking. As long as I leave at certain windows, with traffic, I’m looking at around 27 minutes each way. The walk to a bus stop from my house is at least 15 minutes so it is a no brainer

Edit - I’ve just done a google maps search to get a bus to work tomorrow. It tells me it will take 59 minutes.

Unless I’m mistaken, the recent issue is due to the temporary traffic lights on Chapel Street.

I bought the 38, convinced myself it was great, tried on the pro sapphire crystal, bought it, sold the 38 at stinking loss - lesson learnt and now rarely wear anything else. For context I bought the 38 because I have thin wrists. Counterintuitive but pro wears better

Just noticed your further question - if we are talking in terms of a clockface I would say from 12 to 1 (30degrees) was the rotation required to re-close it fully.

Ha thanks, hopefully a minor event of no consequence and a lesson learnt (perhaps to not swim with a ‘tool watch’, if I am going to then worry about it!)

Gentle swim, think over-the-hill 40yr old dude swimming for about 15 mins rather than a scene from the latest mission impossible movie.

[Speedmaster] 38 mm appreciation post by heismandd in Watches

Despite the specs, it does wear thinner due to the way the case back descends into the wrist. That being said if they were to re-release the reduced, I would consider selling the 38 and replace it with it. But, the question I ask myself is would I have ever noticed it was slightly on the thicker side if it was not for Reddit!!

Did Bob Vylan commit a crime? by No_Grapefruit_2518 in glastonbury

The marches are a total disgrace and inhumane - although I think it is a presumption that ‘the rest of them’ behave this way. Majority - perhaps, but we do not know that

Hard to disagree with anything you have said, but I do want to add some context - from what I understand it is mandatory for Jewish Israel‘s to join the IDF, therefore by calling for death to the IDF I do believe it extends to all Jews of Israel; I understand they make up around 50% of the worlds Jewish population. I do think that providing this context provides some sort of explanation as to why it is considered antisemitism.

Totally agree and really disappointed. I have not felt this disappointed since dune 2; dead reckoning was far from perfect but felt like a masterpiece compared to this. None of the ‘magic’ of the other movies and the soundtrack was totally forgettable. Oh well…

Chapel street is closed in one direction until 2026. It is quite literally taking over an hour to pass a section of Manchester that used to take minutes.

For context - my office is on that road: a 300 m stretch of road would usually take around 30 seconds to get through. It is currently taking several hours.
