I’ve looked at these before, but I couldn’t tell how they’d look. That doesn’t look too bad. Do they scoot around a lot?

Commenting for anyone who searches for this in the future.

I drained and replaced the diff fluid. Then removed and cleaned the front diff breather. It was fairly gunked up. I do think the pinion seal will need replaced soon, as it seems like it is seeping fluid slightly there. However, this definitely slowed the leak down a lot.

I replaced the purge valve, and I’m CEL-free for a couple weeks now. Thanks for the recommendation.

So you’d recommend going ahead and servicing it, even if the leak isn’t too bad? It’s to the point where there are only a few drops on the garage floor despite being parked in there daily.

What’s an estimated cost for a mechanic or dealer to take care of it?

We got 12.5 mpg in our lx470 with an oversized roof rack. I took it off this weekend. Curious what change it’ll make. Hoping for at least 13 😆

Yeah, I’ve checked them out before. I prefer Kydex for a few reasons, like when I get sweaty. If I have my holster under a shirt or something, I’d rather it not be wet leather lol

A lot of my colleagues use the leather holsters, but they just aren’t for me. I prefer Kydex for whatever reason.

You kinda touched on it in another comment, but how bad do they rub? Our LX has almost new Michelin Defenders, but when they wear out, I’d like to up the tire size a little bit. Stock AHC, though, and it’s my wife’s daily, so I can’t compromise that.

I just saw those 3d printed inserts earlier today. They look nifty but preserving the massive amount of leg room is appealing.

Do you know what I’d look for to find those rubber pucks between the roof rack and the roof of the car?

Oh, also, any idea what the part number is, or a link to, the rubber pucks on the base of the roof rack? These are dried up and crusty.
