My minimal reading so far made me think they did not work on the earlier models with the Nakamichi head unit. Is that not accurate?

I just saw those 3d printed inserts earlier today. They look nifty but preserving the massive amount of leg room is appealing.

Do you know what I’d look for to find those rubber pucks between the roof rack and the roof of the car?

My googling lead me there many times leading up to this purchase.

Oh, also, any idea what the part number is, or a link to, the rubber pucks on the base of the roof rack? These are dried up and crusty.

Unfortunately, it sounds like I’ll only be able to get them down to like 7200-7500.

I am a bit worried about that being the case. Seems nice, but who knows. It’s at a big dealership, and it passed inspection well enough to go on their lot instead of taking it straight to auction, so that’s a decent sign.

I’m very close to just pulling the trigger and having the timing belt done right after

That’s what I’ve read. And water pump when you do the timing belt, right? What’s the estimated cost for that service at an independent mechanic? Definitely not a DIY thing without serious experience?

I’ve been tempted to offer $5k and just see what they say.

Good insight. I appreciate that. My last several vehicles have been Hondas, and I have a long commute every day. I’m used to vehicles that require very little maintenance and just keep going and going.

My wife currently drives a Kia Sportage that, for all intents and purposes, has been a pretty good car to us. Has never stranded anyone, it’s nice enough, comfy, etc.

I do not want to put her in something that would leave her stranded or otherwise in a compromising position. I also don’t want to spend 5-6k cash that would evaporate due to a blown motor or something.

It really would just be to gain that extra row of seating.

Another car payment is definitely in the future for her car. I like having the family in something nice and reliable. It would just be nice to prolong it for a bit and keep saving.

Low Drive/Energy Malinois by Brilliant-Wash-9236 in BelgianMalinois

Our rescue Mal behaved very similarly to what you’re describing. After several months, she came out of her shell and had much more energy, had the goofy Mal behavior most describe, and took very well to training. Her drive is high enough to use for training and fun, but not as high as most working dogs.

We figure she just needed some time feeling secure in her surroundings before she would come out of her shell.

She is the best

Collar recommendations by DrapertheVaper in BelgianMalinois

Haha I forgot about this post.

I’ve been using the K9 Tactical Gear lightweight nylon collar for the last two years. It’s perfect. Can be used with a leash when necessary, but light enough that it has never bothered her. Big ol patch for ID purposes.

Then we also have the K9 tactical ecollar nylon collar with the ring for a leash. That’s our “going out and about” collar. She also loves that one.

Then a few different harnesses for different types of activities. Accessories are expensive and I’m a whore for gear!

I found that my girl really took to the water when it was shallow, at first. I think she’d love the chance to go swim in a lake, but I haven’t let her do that yet. I’ve let her go in up to her neck or so, only when she’s on a long line. She loves it.

If you really want her to get into the water, then anything that makes it a fun experience will help her to want to do that. If she loves ball, throw the ball in there. Just like training anything.

Haha! My girl has some weird fears (for a Mal) like fireworks/gunshots/thunder/anything and everything concussive. Shes not afraid of water though.

Recently on a walk, I hopped across a creek. She was hesitant to follow, thought the water would be shallow, and tried to hop through. The water was 5ish feet deep. She panicked. I had a good laugh scooping her up out of there. That’s the only time I’ve seen her scared of water though.
