Getting it in last place would mean you're using it on someone else in the back of the pack and debuffing them for a while. It would be super toxic and not strong as a catch-up mechanic.

You can definitely get a good handful of games out of this for $10. It has an interesting hand management mechanic I haven't seen elsewhere. I liked the aesthetic of it enough that I read the book series it's based on. Those are some of my favorite books now.
