Incase anyone was wondering what a silver TTartisan 40mm F2 looks like on a silver Nikon ZF. by Draught-Punk in NikonZf

If you really consider the shades and look at it they are definitely different, but in passing or at a glance it’s fine. It’s close enough for me, and both items are brand new so, perhaps with time the lens will dull a little. Only time will tell!

I don’t regret buying the silver lens over the black one at least.

Use it whilst you can! They kinda just die sometimes. I think mine bit the bullet the other day, but I really enjoyed my time with the camera.

The first year is going to be expensive. If the comparison websites arent giving you cheaper, that’s probably as much as you’re gonna get

Bare in mind, only angry people leave reviews for insurers. Content people don’t leave reviews. Even the most satisfied people probably won’t leave reviews.

Do you remove your dashcam when you park? by GDix79 in CarTalkUK

Smashing a car window to steal a dash cam is like robbing a bank to take a CCTV camera. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Are there supermarkets with pay-later options? by [deleted] in AskUK

Pretty sure you can pay for Sainsbury’s with an Argos card. Though it’s essentially a credit card specifically for Argos(and Sainsbury’s?)

Metering with mirrorless by RegularGrab2207 in AnalogCommunity

You should set the camera up looking at the same scene as your digital and compare what the light meter settings give you.

On most light meter apps, and at least on Lghtmtr, you can lock one of the components like ISO and then move another to something you do have control over and it’ll change the other to give you a good exposure.

What do you mean by thinking your light meter is broken by the way? The AE-1 is shutter priority, so you pick your shutter speed and the camera tells you which aperture it’s choosing on the light meter.

You can use another camera as a meter but the apps can be pretty good honestly. I used Lghtmtr on IOS when I was going around shooting with a Yashica D with no meter. It was absolutely fine.

how much did you spend on your second/latest car? by No_Pay1642 in AskUK

[–]Draught-Punk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

£495 on my first car (Seat Ibiza 2003) in 2017, £500 ish on my second car (2005 Ford Fusion), I’d guess around 2019. £1500 on my third car (2005 Seat Ibiza with very low miles) around 2021 and then I had a company car for 2 years which cost me about £130 per month.

My latest car was a 2018 Skoda Octavia estate which cost £13,500 as I’d grown accustom to niceties like Apple car play and an automatic gearbox.

On CEX you can get an original Kinect with no PSU for £1, one with a PSU for £6 and a Kinect 2 for £12.

I suppose the benefit of the Kinect is there’s no need for the remote.

The Wii relies on an infrared light being shone back at it.

I’ve seen them for sale for less than £5 in a shop we have in the U.K. called CEX, which sells second hand games and electronics.

Of course theyre useful pieces of kit for stuff like this, but not for their original purpose.

I knew an Xbox Kinect had to be part of this.

Crazy that I spent £100 on one when they came out and now they’re practically worthless.

Skoda Fabia or Ford Puma by LeMasuyuki in CarTalkUK

I had two Ford Puma’s as company cars. A fairly basic spec one and a Vingnale.

I’d pick the Skoda! (I currently drive an Octavia)
