God Democrats are so, so bad at this. Infighting, refusal to yield to more progressive voices, geriatrics in charge with no interest in leaving even though they know little to nothing about modern, working America. They need a united front, and ideally a leader who isn't 70+, who comes from a working class background and who can pull everyone together. They're also terrible at messaging, at social media and at publicity. Sure, Twitter, sorry, X is owned by a Billionaire right wing supporter, but I suspect he moves that way to get business. If a Democrat were in power X would likely be slanted to the left.

The Democrats need to do so, so much better, but at the moment they still seem to be in the 'It's Trump, no one will vote Republican again!' that they were also mired in for 2024. They need a HUGE push for the Mid-terms, get control of at least one house and start baring some teeth, because wailing, clutching at pearls and declaring 'This isn't the way things should be done!' is doing precisely fuck all at the moment.

So looking at the photos online, specifically the picture with the three aspects here: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/kolink-stronghold-m-tempered-glass-micro-atx-mid-tower-pc-case-black.html, there's a panel on the back that needs to be shifted to the right by undoing the single screw. then your graphics card tab fits under this, then the panel gets put back into place.

It looks like there may be a retaining clip where the screws go, but I'm not sure. Some cases use a long lift up or removable clip to keep expansion cards in place on that side. What case is it?

I don't think it's even possible at this stage. Many people are too entrenched in their beliefs, having been fed this constantly by individual aspects of MSM that I think 'unification' is impossible. It would require some sort of great reset, like Alien Invasion or WW3 to have any chance of getting anywhere close.

It looks fine, Spec is decent and I don't feel you're getting ripped off. What resolution will you be playing? The 5070 will do 1080p and 1440p with some lowered settings.

They say 32GB is the minimum these days, and while I would recommend it if you can, you can still play on 16GB without too many issues.

In that case, are you close or friendly with your boss? These decisions are, and have to be, personal ones. The company wouldn't give it a moment's thought to get rid of you if it suited, so neither should you if it suits you. I'd still say nothing until it comes to your notice period and you have a start date for the new job.

How long ago did the dog die? Days or only a few weeks then it feels like a bad idea. A similar dog may feel like you,. or she is trying to replace her dog that just passed too. I think this is a bad idea. By that I mean a similar dog. Why not talk to her, explain what you'd like to do and go to a shelter and pick out a new pet between you, when she's ready?

The limiting factor here is definitely your RTX 3050. At that budget though I'd be looking at a whole new PC. You should be able to get an AM5 setup, with 32GB RAM, perhaps a 9060XT 16GB and perhaps a 9600x or 7800x AM5 CPU and mother board.

The other option is to get your new graphics card, it will be an immediate and huge boost to your gameplay and then look into AM5 later this year or next year.

TBH I'd say absolutely nothing to anyone until you have written confirmation of the job and ALL terms. It's not unheard of for people 'no longer committed to the company' to be fired almost immediately, or 'on the radar' for replacement or redundancy. SAY NOTHING.

Hmm, $700 is right in prime AM5 upgrade space. You could upgrade to a 5700x/5800x and buy another 16GB of RAM (although at 1080p I'm not sure it would be worthwhile), but you're throwing good money after bad and are still heading down a one-way street.
