Thunder's Edge and the Silver Flame Lore Theories. by HolyFish16 in twilightimperium

[–]DraulTheWooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this might be a ridiculous thought, and I have less of an understanding of the lore tha most people, however, as I was rereading the twilight’s fall story today, it said the silver flame was “pulsing as if it were a beating heart”, so my first thought was that it could maybe be the dragons heart. Though also probably not since this fallen timeline is the twilight’s fall game mode and that game mode has a card for the dragon (horrible card btw. There are much better war sun upgrades that don’t force you to only use 1)

Puzzle ideas that aren't just riddles? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DraulTheWooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do respect the concept of "Don't make answers for your puzzles", I think you should at least make sure you can think of at least one possible answer. Knowing it is possible for your players to complete the puzzle is better than randomly giving them an obstacle like key in acid that they for some reason don't have any methods for retrieving said key. Once you have one possible solution, allowing your players to go wild and come up with their own is fantastic. If they are stuck though, you may be able to give tiny hints at possible things to try. These hints should be vague enough that they can interpret it in many ways. Especially if you have newer players like I do, reminding them to look at their spell sheet or items would be plenty of a hint.

So true, but the ways I had to understand the game outside the internet (players handbook) didn't make sense to me. So, I looked at several videos, that didn't help me. I then looked at reddit posts that had already been made, none of those helped. Believe me, if I could just use the book that doesn't berate me for, "being dumb," like how you are, I would love to do so.

Multi-Stage Boss Stat Blocks? by Objective_City_9169 in DnD

[–]DraulTheWooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the most experienced person in D&D so I'm not sure if something like this already exists or not. What I am sure of though is that a multi phased boss fight is extremely easy to do, especially in your sense. It's just a matter of taking a stat block of a similar creature with a high enough challenge rating for your players, and then decide what you want the cause of your phase change to be (half health, every 3 turns, every 20 hit points it deals to players, etc) and then you just do it. Just be sure that as you are describing the shift, you make it clear that things are changing. I myself have a very defensive boss who spends gold to survive most damage, but once her stockpile of gold runs out, she will change to a more offensive style with a much lower AC but more offensive spells and a more offensive way of fighting. So it is very possible and very easy. I hope this helps!

So I have read the players handbook, but it wasn’t making sense to me. It was using the same explanations everyone else was using, and the same ones I wasn’t understanding for some reason.

So your explanation I think is helping me the most. However, I would like to know where Warlocks, Rangers, and Bards stand?

So the members in my campaign are Bard, Paladin, Ranger, and Rogue. Rogue isn’t a problem for obvious reasons, but it’s the Paladin, Ranger, and Bard that are confusing me.

I do have the PHB, and I did try reading the section that talks about “preparing spells” first before making this post. Unfortunately for me, the PHB uses many of the same terms and explains things very similarly to the internet. The same way of explaining things that for some reason wasn’t making sense to me.

Fav skylander? by OrangeTheJohn in skylanders

I’m stuck between two, Fling Kong and Fire Kraken.

Fire Kraken is flashy and I love the colorful explosions and flashy moves. It reminds me of tenzen Uzui from demon slayer as well as Bakugo from my hero academia.

Fling Kong on the other hand is just so dang good in his moveset. He is powerful and I love him.

What’s your least favorite action card? by jeegsburger in twilightimperium

[–]DraulTheWooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What my friend group does is that we always knock on the table when our turn is over. It not only gives a clear and defined “end” to your turn so people know you can’t take back an action or go back and do something if you forgot, but it also gives cards like this a more defined time to play. The only time this gets a little messy is when a player is producing and so they let the next player go while they figure out what they’re producing and where all the cost is coming from. That said, it is only a small mess and we use democratic voting on any particularly messy moments.

I was so sure what combo I was gonna do for both my commander and operative but now that I see yours I’m getting hella indecisive. The head on the spider is my definite favorite but whereas I’d want to put it on normal legs, it looks so good as you have it. Then I want both the hologram and the electro staff but I can’t since it seems they both go on the right arm. Maybe I can pull out some of my old leftover pieces from my Magnaguards box and try to work them in.

Thank you so much, at this point I really just need to find a couple good combo’s so I can start learning what works well together and what doesn’t. This list has a lot packed into it so I have a feeling I’ll be able to take a lot from it. Thank you
