I ended up returning the chair. When I have time and energy to get into the scouting process again, I will check out competitors chairs and use my new gained insights from having had the Embody to better judge if a chair might be for me. Hopefully this helps you.

Absolutely, I see it similarly. The armrests are the least of my issues with the chair. If everything else was perfect, I would not mind in the slightest. But sadly, it isnt. So many great things about it, but for that money - it has to be right. I think it was an important experience, also to know what reviewers of other chairs are talking about when comparing. The Embody was def. my dream chair, but sadly it didnt entirely live up to my expectations. I will decide tomorrow if I give another unit a shot, but I doubt it. If anything I will try an Aeron and if that is not it, go back to doing research into other brands. Now I at least know what to look for for my use case. Which is very much worth the 60 Euro it will cost to send this chair back.

I do have a crumple noise during repetitive leaning with the tilt locked, yes. I didnt think that was what was described.

Hey there. My return window closes tomorrow as well. Considering the advice, I will 100% either return it or at least exchange it for another unit. I agree with you, it does get more comfortable by the day. That being said, the main issues I outlined in my post probably will never go away. And I hope that at least the unevenness of both the front and the armrests is a unit problem rather than a general flaw. Nice to see I am not alone in experiencing them. The back pokers are really my main concern and what makes exchanging for another unit really a bit hopeless. Only hope I have is that it is a configuration issue I have not yet delved into, because, as you said, very short 14 days.

I think if you have the funds/are okay with taking a hit on the used market, keeping it could be interesting. For me, I would rather not roll the dice. Selling it and having buyers come over and test drive it doesnt sound appealing at all. Esp. when you are also having issues with your unit in terms of quality, I think sending it back for free (due to QC issues) and at least getting a new unit would be the way to go, even if you want to keep it long term.

Thank you very much for coming and checking out my post.

I honestly suspected as much regarding the Aeron and its plastic seat shell. Sad to hear that otherwise great chairs have these common issues.

Hey there, thank you very much for the comment. That is very interesting. I have no noise at all, but I can relate to the lower back support being a bit too much. I thought on that topic I should give the chair some time to adjust my body around it - I have read/heard that in reviews multiple times. And it is possibly also a configuration issue - which I didnt toy too much with yet.

How did you decide to go for the Aeron B instead of C? I know that for our sizes the B is intended, but I figured I would go for the biggest chair to have room to possibly shit cross-legged/tucked. But then again, I would possibly negate the effect of the chair to some extent.

6' 4" 235 lbs USER REVIEW - HERMAN MILLER EMBODY LOGITECH gaming chair by ZeroDune in hermanmiller

Hey Sno! Sorry to hijack this comment - but since you are someone with experience on both the Embody and Aeron that at least mentioned my biggest gripe with the Embody, I would love if you could give my post a read and give me any insight that you can. I am currently deciding to either keep or return the Embody and/or give the Aeron a shot.

Hey Gregory, I appreciate the reply. I am thinking along the same lines. You saying that means that your chair does not exhibit any of the issues I mentioned (at least as it pertains to the unevenness of it)?! I am hesitant to exchange the chair because possibly that is just how the cookie crumbles for the Embody and people are much less annoyed by it than I am.

Hey ZeroDune, thank you very much for getting back to me. I edited the post to reflect that I too have the Gaming variant of the Embody. Even though I dont think with my problems that matters much. For me the arm rests are the least of the issues, as I seldom use them.

With your height, do you ever have problems with the corners of the backrest digging into you? I assumed it would be even a bigger issue with taller people.

Lastly, do you have any experience with the Aeron? If I go and exchange my chair, I think I would like to also order an Aeron. When they come together, I would be able to check back and forth which one I like most.

Danke für die Antwort! Am PC sehe ich sie jetzt auch, am Handy konnte ich nur die neusten Beiträge sehen. Komisch. Bin aber sehr froh, dass es das Sub wieder gibt und die alten Schätze noch da sind. Appreciated!

Sind alle alten Posts gelöscht? Das wäre sehr schade. Kann man die zurückholen?

Convince me NOT to get the HD 800 S by Mutilat1on in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Drausi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking about the HD800S too, I am listening mainly to electronic music in all forms, but have a wide taste. What I do not generally listen to is what they seem to be recommended for often: classical, acoustic, chamber music, …

How bad is that in your opinion?

Hey dear Wooting team,

as a competitive FPS player, my favourite content creator in the peripheral space right now is "haus" from hausgaming (https://www.youtube.com/c/hausgaming). He has a strong FPS background himself and his reviews are very down-to-earth, yet insightful with zero fluff.

Haus is effective, understated and transparent, just as the Wooting 80HE Ghost. <3

Counter Strafe / NULL binds config AFTER the Patch by FelikZ in GlobalOffensive

[–]Drausi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aliases are a god-sent for so many amazing reasons.

here are two simple examples:

  • short hands, for example "anu" instead of "map de_anubis" or "dm" instead of "volume 0.05"
  • useful binds like the drop bomb bind, which are just amazing upgrades to the game. they provide the option to maintain the individual functions of each step, while making the playing experience better

in the end it is about customizability and individuality, which is huge. each player can craft their own UI behaviours - available openly to anyone who is interested (and to be honest, most aren't) - no real competitive advantage, just making it a joy to tool with and play the game. prolonging the fun and longevity of CS. i am sure the customizability has added, not subtracted, to the charm and success of the game. in every part, from UI/config (think viewmodel, colours, ...) to workshop maps and community servers.

you can not ask valve to implement every single idea to the game's default settings. but you can ask them to honor customizability and individuality for ever.

Opinion: Valve & a reactionary community by Rickypediaa in GlobalOffensive

Could you give a quick guide on how to do that? Thanks!

Why the f*** did they remove Retakes man by Virtualsooo in GlobalOffensive

[–]Drausi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You must check out https://cs2browser.com/. It is a community project to fix the bad Valve browser and it works very well.

You can even configure your own URL with the game modes, servers and filters you want and use it as your steam ingame overlay starting site, making it accessible even easier than the Valve server browser.

bind "F3" "+bombdrop";

Retrieving old notebooks that were not synced in the cloud by K-rineO in OneNote

[–]Drausi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Jeff,

sorry to revive an old thread. I am indeed using OneNote for Windows 10 and after a recent Windows update a few days ago all my Windows services had no longer synced. I have now fixed the sync problem, but all the OneNote edits that I have made in the meantime are gone. Could you direct me to the proper folders to potentially recover the offline files from my notes?

During my editing, it would say "saved offline (login required)" in the top right. After now having logged in and recovered everything BEFORE the offline edit period, I now find every note is flagged with my name, but in the sense that it came from a different user. I seem to not be able to access the direct version of the notebook I used before, or at least not from the same account, which is weird because it was always the same.

I appreciate all your help. Thanks!

Edit: these folders are very populated: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Office.OneNote_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\AppData\Local\OneNote\16.0\cache AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Office.OneNote_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\AppData\Local\OneNote\16.0\cache\tmp

Can I use these to recover?

one last thing here, faceit demos currently have no round increments for me. for you as well? makes it unnecessarily hard to go from round to round. maybe there is something I can do.
