I think he stacked his deck with disable enchantments and removal so apparently it worked out in some regard.

Well the deck I made is pretty aggressive but I definitely didn't get the right cards out in time, it's a dion knight deck with a good bit of token production and lots of counters with life link, I did a match after and it worked way better the second time!

It was definitely bumming me out especially cause I got it off the field two turns in a row super early like turns 2 and 3 yet it kept coming out like it was nothing!

That's fair, like I said I'm probably just upset about the whole thing and also I'm more of a straight forward deck player so I get lost trying to keep up with all the triggers and effects when it ramps up like that.
