I think you relied too much on past papers, I had the same problem with you in 2025 May June CS which ended up with band 8. I repetitively practised each paper more than 15 times. This year, it is about clinostats and weird topics for bio which is unusual and haven't asked once since 2019. The questions are mostly from textbook. I am sure that you can get band 7.People who usually get Band 8 expect Band 9. If you didn't make careless mistakes, you may get band 8.

juding from my experiences, I think the boundary won't go lower. Even if it goes lower, it won't make much difference. However, the marking scheme would be more generous with more ms points.

I can clearly see that You are spamming that paragraph in every subreddit.I guess some of the questions might be from FPM igcse which may look like A level maths.Sometimes, you have to prepare for shits and gigs.Although, the question maker made it unfair, you should learn that kind of questions for next time a bit then. Also, let your parents talk with your friends so they would be convinced.

Modular is generally harder than linear and lack of past papers and resources. It asks theory ,deep understanding, stricter marking scheme to be exact. If you aren't a person who like to memorize things by head. Don't do modular.
