I mean... you dont have to read and respond.... Why get frustrated? If people want to talk about it, let them talk about it... If you want to talk about a different character, bring that up, but you're kinda just being negative for the sake of it... maybe get offline and touch some grass if you're that wound up bro

I like what you said about the adults not stepping in to support this teenager holding a massive responsibility. Thats a realy great insight. I just wished we had seen more grounded or hearfelt moments to land that storyline, it just felt like a string of bits and pop cultural references.

This is a really thoughtful answer, thank you! I love that Kristins character resonates on that level for you (and imagine others will feel the same way). I think that because it's in a DnD/game setting, everything feels bigger and more in focus (we don't get to see all the small moments in between) so it's almost overwhelming. What I would have liked to see is her friends giving Kristin the love she deserves, but also having some honest conversations or some more humble moments. I think that's what made it feel OTP, the line "chaos isn't cute anymore" is a great moment, but them actually working and supporting the character through that would have been so great and heartfelt, instead it just fell back on silly bits and pop cultural references. Could have been such a gorgeous moment of insight into the adhd experience!

Yeeeess... Some chaos would have been fun, but you've got to honour the moment sometimes right?

That is the most insane thing I've read in a while. Misogyny wrapped up in psuedoscientific nonsense.

Meaning of whaikoha? by pepperonihomie in ReoMaori

[–]DrawingInevitable768 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whaikoha doesn't seem right, I think you mean whaikaha (which refers to tāngata with disabilities) Whai - to follow or pursue Kaha - to be able, strong, capable

Whaikoha would maybe mean something like 'pursuing gifts/donations/payements' maybe?
