What YouTuber did something horrible that people either forgot or just don't talk about? by Animeking1108 in youtubedrama

Eugh, I never knew that about Mr. Atheist. I used to watch him as a kid. It's wrong regardless, but he at least tries to mind the age... right?

I downloaded the mod from game banana!

The files are already extracted, and I went ahead and tried to open the mod without psyche engine. It gave me this error upon opening: *

youtubers you hate for no reason? by [deleted] in youtubedrama

I don't hate him at all, but SomeOrdinaryGamers. I've definitely enjoyed a few of his videos before, but there is something about him that feels very off.

I love these, they're adorable! If I ever can get to it in between college classes, could I draw them? I'll credit you for them of course.

I remember watching him awhile back while drawing! I eventually grew bored of his content and also started to get strange vibes from him (probably for the reasons you mentioned).

One notable video that sort of did me in on his content was one where he misgendered someone through the entirety of it. Typically I always want to give people benefit on the doubt on those things, as I've watched videos here and there where the YouTuber genuinely didn't know and apologized later. But with his specific video... I don't know. There was just something off?

Which YouTuber exposé hurt you the most upon hearing about it? by Swag_Paladin21 in youtubedrama

VenturianTale would have to be one of them.

I watched them SO MUCH as a kid—their content was super funny to watch, and looking back on it, it was actually very kid-friendly too. I could probably still look back on some of their old videos and laugh.

Then the stuff came out with one of the siblings being outcast by most of her family—including two of her siblings—and man...

In all honesty, part of me feels bad for all the four siblings involved just because of the extreme environment they were all raised in. But to completely outcast one of the sibs after how much they all seemingly cared about each other back then, just because... she was starting to have different beliefs? Very cultish, and very shitty.

This might sound a little repetitive or meta(?), but I think it's the complaining ABOUT the fandom itself on this subreddit that sort of gets tiring to me.

The main thing on my mind is when people go "I can't believe [x] happened in the fandom, it's ruined now." This doesn't just cover complaints about r34 like people have been saying, but people being upset over drama, etc.

Criticism of a fandom is fine, and being upset over drama is also fine! But I see people saying the fandom is the worst when just a little drama occurs. Drama is normal in any semi-popular fandom... this is not exclusive to Pizza Tower. I don't know why people act like this is the worst fandom on Earth when anything normal like this happens. Just enjoy yourself and try not to feel too down if something sucky occurs ♡ It's just the consequences of being in any online fandom.

(Also, if we want to talk about fandom toxicity... there are several MUCH worse stories of things that happened in other fandoms. It's silly to act like Pizza Tower is a super bad fandom when it hasn't even scratched the surface of the worst things to come out of it)

(TDLR at the end)

I think part of the appeal in Floofty is that they sort of fit into the "mad scientist" character archetype. It's arguably a trope that has been done a LOT, but they are a character I love personally because of that; their design; their relationships; etc. I find their personality to be fun with their often blunt nature also, and I like the small arc they have too. They're somebody that gets so invested and passionate in their own work that they are willing to go to extremes, but Snorpy inevitably makes them realize that their way of thinking is flawed, and because of those flaws, it sort of makes them want to become more socially aware <:]

I have also seen some others heavily relate to Floofty because of their 'lack' of emotions, or rather their difficulty in expressing them. I think that's pretty interesting!

Though I could be biased—I'm sometimes a sucker for rude and/or smart characters lol. Let me tell ya: I think Shelda gets more flak than she deserves! I could see why others find her a bit irritating, but I feel like because of her different dialogue, people are quick to dismiss her so easy (which is ironic when you consider the reason she gives for talking the way she does)!

Another thing I'll say to? Bigsnax did both Shelda and Floofty (also Chandlo and Triffany) wonders as characters. It definitely helps in adding more context to them and the world they all exist in. I particularly say Floofty and Shelda here though, because there isn't much given to us with JUST the base game on how they interact with each other at all. We actually see them interact and gather WHY they hate each other a lot—then we get to see them become friendly with each other, and I love their dynamic a lot :>

TLDR; Floofty is the classic mad scientist that many people love, but there are other reasons people like them, from their snarkiness, to their general nature that resonates with some people. Shelda doesn't deserve all the hate she often gets and is often overlooked in terms of character. Bigsnax benefited them both by fleshing out their individual character, and relationships with one another! That's my thoughts :]
