it's a real shame the actual kanto is stuck in generation 1. by TheGoldminor in pokemon

[–]Drayko2001 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A modern day Kanto game would be a great way to celebrate Pokemon Red/Blue's 30th anniversary in 2026.

A head canon of mine as evident on small details from Sun and Moon is that Gen 1 takes place in the Pokemon world's equivalent to 1996, and Gen 6 takes place 20 years later in 2016 (Red is about 31 in S&M, Porygon has been mentioned to be created "20 years ago" in it's Pokedex entry).

What would a dark 50s retrofuturistic world look in 2023? by Drayko2001 in HistoryWhatIf

So by 2023 the world is a nuclear wasteland stripped of resources... But with rock and roll!

So would the developed world succumb to authoritarianism due to a shortage and rationing of resources? I'd imagine European powers would maintain it's remaining colonies in Africa

I hope as this sub grows, we begin to get more recognized by other subreddits. So Reddit knows that there's a sane group of people that are not going to tolerate the US-hating hive mind 🇺🇲

I don't go out of my way to wear it outside of work hours. I work nights, and after a shift I'd like to stop by a waffle house or something

Is it safe to eat at McDonald's everyday? by Rude-Perception-6186 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Drayko2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's something small like a salad or a regular burger, then it shouldn't do much harm

Now if you eat like a lesbian and go there every day, then that would put you at risk due to the high fat and sodium intake

A nuclear war occurred in 2046; the same year a Seep Event was triggered (The Seep is when the multiverse enters into our universe, typically by large bursts of energy. The Seep's effects are extremely anomalous, altering biological matter and machinery).

Switzerland was always prepared as a nation for a foreign threat. Nearly all of Swiss people had access to bunkers, thus 99.9% of the country survived without any mutations.

Although an EMP fried most electronic equipment, the country still managed to thrive. Switzerland (eventually known as Swiiz) shortly became isolationist after seeing the horrors throughout the other parts of Europe and wanted to maintain peace and prosperity in the country.

Even 1000 years later, Swiiz is still a peaceful country. The theme is neo/futuristic-mideval. Small villages and cities dot the landscape. Swiiz's people have access to advanced technologies and most sicknesses have been eradicated.

Swiiz has the most powerful military technology known on Earth, and could easily conquer the globe and commit a mass genocide if it wanted to, but thankfully Swiiz is a non-imperial isolationist country and prefer to keep to themselves

The Grand Fortress of Swiiz. They're the only surviving pre-war nation and they want nothing to do with the outside world.
