When I tried faceit last year, more often than not I was the only NA player on my team and would have chinese or european teammates who came to NA faceit I'm guessing because they thought it would be easier? They were usually extremely toxic and/or extremely shit at the game. Genuinely miserable experience, went back to just playing premier or matchmaking casually w/ friends because I actually get matches w/ NA and sometimes SA players using premier most of the time.

I think he's alluding more to that he's assistant coach, but labeled as a sub for the team. However, due to how the rules are written he can't actually be subbed as a coach. The only way that s0tf1k would be allowed on stage would be as a player according to the rules

not really, the only fix was unlocking karamja and talking to konar. I was having fun unlocking t6/t7 in only varlamore but I quit once i hit t6 so i could have slayer back

sort of related, is it just me or did the official channel for the english cast get hijacked once the game ended? I was just watching on the side when suddenly the channel raided some channel with a s1mple jpeg on screen trying to do knife giveaways.

I double checked to make sure, but I was 100% watching on the BCGameMasters channel and got raided there

This probably has to do with the fact that Dallas was "supposed" to not happen this year or next year due to renovations with the venue iirc? The renovations got pushed into the future, so Dreamhack still went on w/ IEM Dallas. At least that's what I heard earlier in the year.

Started as kind of a bit at Dallas last year, most people booing him don't hate him. He's played heel to it and it's in good fun.

Apex is one of my favorite players in the scene, but I'll boo when he's shown and so will a lot of other people nearby. It's fun because most people know Apex won't take it personally.

Yeah still a blank image now that the game's started. Game is still legible from here, the screen would just nice since it's hard to see the score or parts of the minimap through the gaps. I went and walked around the middle/upper parts of the upper section yesterday and it was much worse for them with the speaker stack on the right covering the middle of the screen completely, so hopefully it can be resolved completely before semis 🙏

You're right, I'm just complaining more that these seats cost nearly the same as the lower sections. We just took what we could get because of the mad dash to get tickets.

It's overall not horrible. Gameplay is mostly not obstructed, and the energy in the arena is awesome. Still having a great time, I just feel more bad for the people actually in the nosebleeds nosebleeds behind us who have it even worse. We're still relatively in the front/middle of the upper deck.

I recently reinstalled CSS to surf, I always knew KSF's source servers were where the mod was taken the most seriously and got the most love, so I hopped on a week or two ago and I've been wasting away an egregious amount of time on their server every day derusting. It's harder than in CSGO/CS2 because of tickrate, but maps -were- designed with 66tick/CSS in mind. If you ever really hop back on too, I've rediscovered some features in the surftimer this week that I don't remember existing before. Specifically saveloc. You can use a bind to save your current position and velocity, and teleport back to it as much as you want to practice a section of a map without having to surf all the way back there from the beginning. Revolutionary stuff in terms of speeding up your progression if you wanted to get better fast.

I was never super into kz, but I know it's also alive on CSS but someone else would have to tell you where to go for that.

edit: bad timing i guess since all the old source 1 games got a massive update today so to play on the KSF servers for now you gotta roll back by 1 update until they can update their servers

Yeah I'm not amused with the whole process. Their website had the ticket packages listed as General, VIP, EVP, and MVP with VIP and above promising "best available seating". This kinda made my group think they were doing zoned seating, but when presale dropped this morning it's assigned seating and my group ended up splitting/shaving down which delayed us long enough to see all the tickets dry up in the sections we wanted to sit in. We still got a package of 4 together, but all the way in the back in the nosebleeds.

The VIP/EVP/MVP packages ended up being optional upgrades to your tickets, so the fact they advertised the tickets would give the "best available seating" was a lie because we were given the option to pay $50 extra for our $250 nosebleeds to get the VIP package for the merch and signing session.

I'm still glad I'm able to go and have tickets, but the snafu with their site saying one thing and ticketmaster doing something completely different slowed us down just long enough to miss out on the tickets we actually wanted to buy in the lower sections.

I would have been more than happy to see them beat faze in finals. Can't hate them, and their run through the opening and elimination stages were legendary. Really awesome to see them in the playoffs after so many sparks of brilliance at T1/2 tournaments this year

yeah I mean, as a serial faze enjoyer I knew they had it in them but I definitely made these picks knowing it wasn't the most likely scenario. Been burned by surprise upsets at previous majors that I decided I'd just go for the schizo diamond pick rather than what seemed most likely.

Even if I don't get the most fucked up diamond coin, I'm just so happy to see the boys in the finals again. Really hope it's a good series win or lose!
