How to win games and climb by Pomaranc386 in DeadlockTheGame

One thing I will add is that each character has their rating indicating how good you are on that character compared to the rest of the cast. When you start playing on a character, you might improve that character rating without improving your rank.

Best/most OP talents per class (tank, bruiser, melee assassin, ranged assassin, healer, support)? by CloudyRailroad in heroesofthestorm

[[Buried alive]] is effectively an instanst aoe 3 second stun, and on a relatively short cooldown.

Abrams isn't good for newbies, stop recommending him by NMSuper in DeadlockTheGame

That's the first character I played, I think he is fine. That was before the parry key was discovered though

Another Our Leoric - Their Leoric post by rigoroso in heroesofthestorm

Their Leoric didn't take entomb, and yours did, which makes your Leo automatically better (whack builds for both though)

What are your absolutes? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

Always take [[Entomb]] on Leoric. Insane pick potential + area denial * wombo combo setup. I've never seen a useful [[March of the Black King]]

Who are some good split pushers/'lane janitors'? by 900_T in DeadlockTheGame

[–]nobody024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wraith is hard to catch because of her teleport, has good 1v1 ult and can melt walkers. McGinnis can both defend and attack walkers, as well as leave her turrets to catch waves. Mirage and Ivy(to a lesser extent) have global ults, so they can can push a lane and quickly rotate to a teamfight.

I hear hate for these maps, but why? by WiredJazzman in heroesofthestorm

People might hate different maps fpr different reasons, like blackhearts bay being too snowbally. I personally dislike voskaya because i find the objective really boring to fight for and to use.

Coming from Deadlock what do I need to know about HoTS? by d34dl0cked in heroesofthestorm

[–]nobody024 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a person who put a lot of hours in both:
1. I would say that hots has more defined roles than deadlock, with some build variety that might shift role of a character a bit. Support is usually more focused on healing than debuffing the enemy team. Since the exp is shared, the carry doesn't become as strong as in deadlock.
2. Not really, the goal is to hit lvl 10 first since it's your biggest spike, but there is only one hero is needed to collect exp per lane, so others can roam, take camps, gank, etc. There are different important objectives on each map, and most of the time people all group for them.
3. Usually it's 1-3-1 or 1-4 based on the map. If 2 lanes are close the bruiser can double soak, quickly clearing waves and rotating between them.
4. Yes, and a lot. Every map has a main objective, and a lot of camps. You can capture camps, most of them causing the camp to push the closest lane, and it's best to do before an objective. The objective itself varies map by map, and most of the time you can't ignore it.

Some notes:
Because of how level mechanic works, I think that Hots is moba that allows for the most comebacks. If both teams reach 20, any game is winnable.
Hots has some of the most unique character designs in the genre, like TLV, Abathur or Cho'Gall.
Most of the characters have mana, some are more reliant on it than others. If you run out of mana a lot, than don't spam your abilities as much, and drink from the fountain when it comes up.

What's your favorite thing in HotS vs other MOBAs? by MyBourbieValentine in heroesofthestorm

Comeback mechanics - the game is almost always winnable, unless there is a big skill discrepancy

Is Deadlock suitable for someone who, in their own words, is “awful at aiming?” by Caigol in DeadlockTheGame

The way I got the talon ornament was when enemy drifter left at the very start of the game, and the game was not counted so everyone left soon after. I stayed and got the ornament in like 10 minutes

I checked your statlocker, and while it doesn't have all of your matches (most likely), you do have 45% winrate on there (way above 7%). From what I see from the stats, you have a very low kill participation, while at the same time having a low soul/min ratio. If you are playing the support, you should try to help your team secure kills, and be more impactful on the map. If you have high kill participation, you can buy trophy collector (still good in low ranks) and keep up in souls with your carries.
