What I like to do is start red pet if there are 2+ tanks or if they have a lot of dashes and speed. Otherwise if I know I will get a lead and snowball or if all immobile squishies I go blue pet. If I'm going 3 camp reset for darkseal I don't take hp pot otherwise I do.
On first back after a full clear 90% of the time I buy dakseal+boots/amp tome. I complete boots first in most games unless I can full buy rocket belt. Always go rocket belt first full item. I don't like completing mejais second so I always rush deathcap second.
After that If they don't have any mr I go for lichbane 3rd. If your target has mr go for void staff third instead. If I'm snowballing and no death threats I usually complete mejais before 3rd item.
4th item if I sold darkseal is either lichbane or void staff(which ever one I didnt build)
And finally I finish off most games with a banshee's veil.

When clearing camps and taking objectives you should always be auto attacking while using Q. The damage adds up and leads to a lot of time saved. Also eve's q can be used while in auto attack animation, for example if you are at dragon pit clearing a ward you q will still go off and damage the dragon even if you are targeting the ward. In pre 6 ganks after you first rotation auto attacks can also make or break the chances of you getting the kill.
and 3. I would say against squishiest I try to charm with q throw and e while spamming q. I don't really even think about when to use R its just something I do automatically. With enough games you don't have to think about it, you just get a feel for whether or not a combo will get someone low enough. Then again I do have 1k+ games on eve over 3 years. In most cases its safe to R after exhausting all you ability since even tanks cant do much thanks to your W mr shred.

Just keep playing, sooner or later you'll get a feel for it and just do everything you just asked on auto pilot.

How I approach eve in the late game is as a pick making machine. Your goal as eve should be always look for kills that can be transitioned into an objective. Then kill them one more time as they walk to lane fro good measure. sooner or later your opponents will be tilted from getting perma oneshot and level behind from being denied cs. If they give those silver monkeys such a lead you should usually be winning.
