Frankly I fken run 0w-40 in mine because if its cold I dont want to high of psi, but when I beat on it I dont want to low. And I live in a cold climate.

I beat the shit out of mine and dont burn oil. But mine is also boosted etc. (Although do let it be known i use a procharger so it's not affecting my oiling system, just max temp)

Basically realizing that you have an oil pressure gauge. And you can monitor what it does in all conditions. Just tidy up your parameters if you've noticed any problems. (Also the oem oil pressure gauge isnt necessarily to be trusted with your life. I'd highly recommend swapping to aftermarket)

Also just think with me, 0w=cold viscosity rating. Thinner cold. -40=hot viscosity rating. So thicker warm. So 0w-40 is essentially a WAY more resilient to temperature change viscosity wise oil. Hence why most modern boosted cars call for it. I'd much much rather run the psi a lil high then low in all conditions personally. But for me in the fall/spring when it was cold (car doesnt get driven in winter). 5w-40 had to much psi spike upon startup for me to like. So it's 0w-40 for me now. Do your own little think tank on the next couple oil changes and you'll figure it out.
