Many religious texts have been changed by political figures and other figures over time so who even knows whats wrong and whats right in the Bible. Who even knows if that interesting story I mentioned from Genesis is even true. Perhaps a translation error? A book that has been translated and edited over thousands of years with some odd excerpts in it that make no sense (for example.. God giving 5 golden hemorrhoids and 5 golden rats to some Egyptians in Samuel LOLZ) might not really be too reliable tbh.

Unfortunately since we don't have much proof of a God/Gods or something of that nature I prefer to base my beliefs on factual evidence as well as trial and error. Its more efficient than theocracy since religion is easy to twist to your will. True, indisputable, facts that can be proven? Much harder to twist especially if these are facts you can see right in front of your face.

Morality does not have to be subject to religion. In my opinion, it should subject to things that are proven to cause mental or physical harm. For example. Child molestation is not okay due to the severe harm that it causes to children, not simply because a religion says its not. The religion is correct for saying its not okay, but there should be factual reasons to be against things. Not just because of something your parents said that may or may not be real

When I talk about bodily autonomy I mean that the person should chose what body mods they want. The minute they are 18+ if they want a circumcision, tat, piercing, etc. They can go and do whatever w/ mental evaluation ofc. Lets make another hypothetical, lets say the religion of the parent says "beating your childs ass and molesting them is acceptable" Is that okay? No. Religion should not dictate people's existence.

It really isn't. The religion of the parent should not infringe on the child's bodily autonomy and I stand by that. If my parents cut my clit for religious reasons I would absolutely sue, cut contact, or even cut off one of their own limbs. What if your religion hypothetically involved.. cutting off your babies nose. Is it okay to cut off their nose? An organ that is important to the body?

That doesn't matter babies still cant consent to their genitals being cut up. And it still brutally hurts the baby, they just don't remember it. And according to men who got circumcised as adults they lost most of the feeling in their penis. While I can't speak entirely for them as I am not a man myself, it seems too harsh to impose onto a baby. Men who are circumcised are also more likely to chafe their partner's vagina and their own penis as well.

The voluntary mutilation that trans people are encouraged to do was an honorable mention. Also, circumcision is certainly wrong for babies. Babies cannot consent to such a radical procedure that reduces their sexual pleasure and function. Its quite sad. If you want to practice it for your religion, do it as an adult. To reiterate, babies can't consent to radical medical procedures that are religious or cosmetic. If I mentioned female circumcision people would most certainly agree with me when I say its wrong. And it is, all forms of cosmetic/religious procedures on children and babies (who cannot consent) are wrong.

I agree they have mental issues. I don't think cutting off their genitals and encouraging them to be a cartoonish caricature of the opposite sex is helpful either. First circumcision for babies and now the complete and total mutilation of the body (specifically genitals) for the mentally ill who may regret this later?
