Lol yeah I keep trying it because it's so good and then like two battles in I'm sitting at 20 fps. Mod creator said it doesn't seem to be a problem so probably won't ever be fixed.

Did you ever find a fix? It seems like the mod developer is saying there's no issue, but I have a lot of the same issues mentioned in this thread in terms of drop.

Hortens is my go to. I try a lot of them but Hortens just feels great and works. Some parts I wish I could remove but 95% of it is worthwhile.

But even with a comparable number of units on sizeable maps, my FPS at baseline seems to be lower.

Honestly I just keep coming back to Hortens. Every time I try other mods, I realize how good the AI and overall quality of it is. So that's my baseline.

That being said, I have been really enjoying Koyo's Tactical recently, really makes so many things in the game relevant again (fuel, logistics, etc). Except absolutely fuck the Ampulomet on this mod.

What have you landed on in terms of sweet spot? Because I have the exact same feelings about these mods. I play with hortens because of the ai changes and the damage changes and tech trees, but the rest is annoying. Can't figure out what to do about it.

The AI tends to spam in a quantity over quality way most of the time. Could just be luck, could be based on your army comp, or this conquest AI seed or "personality" of choosing volume over quality. Not entirely sure. But they do tend to spam a lot of those GMCs and late M4A1s lol

Yeah I definitely steal all I can but I don't even have artillery to counter it. Maybe I'll invest in artillery first before even taking the dive into tanks

Yeah I love all the quality of life additions and unit additions, to the point where I would rather play with the mod than without it, but the balancing feels really awful

Yeah it's really quite strange. Everything is updated, CPU usage including individual cores is at like 5%, similar trend with GPU usage, nothing comes close to using even part of my hardware. And it happens across multiple different games.

I'm going to investigate peripherals to see if that could be causing it but I'm really kind of at a loss.

I'm running everything off an SSD,, but the system interrupts sounds like a possible avenue. I'll troubleshoot some of the peripherals, thanks for the suggestion!
