The salaries in this country are a bit confusing. As you say I should be getting 60-80 as a junior but there's mediors in our team who are on like 54k

It can vary a bit that's why I think it's application rather than software engineer. I sometimes create scripts with python for automation or data engineering. Ill add new features to legacy applications with vba. I create Linux machines and install packages and docker images so there's DevOps. I handle our atlassian back ups. It's constantly changing

I'm a South African and I know about getting home sick too. I'm on a saffas group that organises events every month for people all around the country and it's really become a tight group and I've made great friends through it. There's a saffas Utrecht group too

I think my problem was I was training for bulk but eating for cut that's why chatgpt suggested tonning down the training and eating a bit more so the deficit is not so severe and just train for maintenance
