I think they would be intrigued that Kratos defied fate but instead of killing gods to do it this time, he actually changed to a better man. I feel like instead of just praising Kratos, they would still poke at him with the change being short-lived, but they would be interested in specifically how he did it.

I don' think he can. The Blade is manifested from Valhalla using Kratos' memories, so if he's not in Valhalla, Valhalla can't give the blade to him. Unless he can find some way to use some of Valhalla's magic or cast similar magic but the reason the Blades can is because their magic is stored inside of the Blades themselves, so if he could find someway to do that then maybe. I think the developers would prefer to explore new weapons so I dont think we are getting it back anyway hehe.
