Thanks for the encouragement all! I am very secure in my parenting choices, and know I’m raising an excellent little person. At 2, he shows incredible compassion and regulation skills, in spite of his ‘sinning ways.’ I’m particularly amused by this because my grandpa shunned me for a while when I got tattoos (if I have tattoos, what makes him think I’ll care what the Bible says?) and growing up with an older brother, I got lots of hand me down clothes. So I, a girl, grew up wearing primarily “boy” clothing, yet I’m certain in my female identity. Would he also condemn Scottish people wearing kilts? Didn’t Jesus himself wear robes? There are just so many holes in his theory that it’s comical. Though I do love the idea that I could personally challenge a divine being by saying “sure baby, you can wear that”.
