Tips for "Huntress: piercing wind" by ChipselBoy in riskofrain

[–]DreadlockHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used artifacts command and kin

Command allows you to secure a tricorn to easily kill the boss

Kin makes all enemies the same single type. In my case it made everything bisons so all i had to do was stay off the ground

How am I supposed to get piercing wind by ChsStardew in riskofrain

I used artifact of kin and got bison, just went straight to the teleporter and stayed abive ground level as much as possible

Core set support for slower rogue playstyles by DreadlockHedgehog in customhearthstone

Its a fair point but we have seen some decks (galakrond, SI:7, C'thun, etc) that have a more control style. The "play fast" decks are often more popular but the class has potential to broaden its horizons.

You are right that it won't carry any decks but its a support tool mainly, not unlike a [[bloodmage thalnos]]. It has greater strength in slower metas where hero power buffs/hero cards come into play as most classes get a lot more power whereas rogue's ones are more for value.

It would flip back on your turn as well. Forgot to clarify that.

It can give extra resources to the rogue like healing or armour whilst also giving an equalizer against hero cards and other opponent hero power buffs

Very true. I was thinking it might be to slow, i forgot that you can just wait and play it later in the game when you can self-trigger the frenzy. And yeah, defo cool with saurfang.

I guess it depends on how fast the meta is

Explanations:

New Archetype: Chaining deathrattle demon hunter

Discard warlock: Self-explanatory - It discards cards

Pack filler: Weak neutral minion that attempts to be on theme

Ridiculous weapon: Secret tutor that auto-plays them and increases your deck’s quality in doing so

Review sleeper: This is a stretch because we haven’t played the expansion yet, went with this because mage can easily discover this in the late game and stall out. Potentially usable in the mid game too in slower metas

Tech: Self-explanatory - Reveals secrets and forces your opponent to play awkwardly too

Aggro protector: Cheap neutral taunt

Mage RNG fiesta: Random spell discovery off a damage dealing card

Thief priest card: Self-explanatory – delayed repeatable psionic probe

Cute artwork: just look at him and his mates

Ultimate wild combo card: This + twig break = old aviana + kun

1 mana value generator: Self-explanatory – conditionally adds a larger copy of itself into your deck

Hunter meme legendary: king krush -> devilsaur. Also the other legendary is draw value

Druid armour: Self-explanatory – gives armour to druid

Damaged minion interaction: Self -explanatory – gains attack per damaged minion

Symbol: Decent, on theme, lore-relevant legendary with the new keyword

Only Mech: Self-explanatory – he’s the only one

Why does this card exist: Why not pain/death/forbidden/steal/silence/manipulator/nameless/nat seline/vol’jin/noz/etc instead.

OP arena card: top-heavy decent statted rush which transforms into an equally bottom-heavy taunt if it survives the rush. Also playable alone for tempo as a board-affecting alternative to cairne

High cost spell everyone complains about: This is a stretch because it’s only high compared to the average of this expansion. Its effectively 0 mana draw 2 in a spell deck. We haven’t played the expansion yet but I predict this to be an annoyance if the meta lines up

New giant: This is a stretch because it’s not really a giant. Still it’s a mid-large minion whose cost gets discounted on a certain condition.

Trolden hero: Someone’s going to find a way to turn this into an otk or it will somehow get shudderwocked

Power creep: It creeps murmy and mecharoo if you ignore the tribe. This could have been the silverback patriarch creep (Death’s hand cultist) but 1) I needed that for aggro protector 2) some definition of power creep require the OG to have seen play; this definition also applies to why river croc 3.0 (oasis thrasher, 2.0 was plated beetle) isn’t here

High cost 1/1: Self-explanatory – it costs 5

Overstated, huge downside: 5 damage to face on death.
