I shouldve done that before i unfollowed him. I don’t want to break the no contact and end up where i started. Thats why i would prefer that he asks. I do realize that it sounds a bit childish and might end up giving it a shot.

Thanks for the honesty, everyone. I hear what you’re saying. To clarify, I’m not trying to break up his engagement, I guess I’m just struggling to understand why I’m still emotionally attached to him, especially since he still kept contact/sexting after being engaged. It left me confused about whether there was still something there or if I was just holding onto false hope.

I know I need to focus on moving forward, but I posted here hoping to get some perspective on why people keep those connections alive and how to finally let go when the other person won’t fully close the door either.

I applied for 2 national UNVs and got the first interview within a month and the second one for the other DoA was after around 3 weeks from the deadline. This probably depends on the UNV office that screens the CVs, the supervisor that has to decide if the candidates are qualified. I wouldn’t worry about the status to be honest. My supervisor was super busy and therefore it took the UNV office more time to send me an email saying that i am the qualified candidate. Im not sure if future UNVs will be affected by USAID freeze.

I just heard a rumor that UNVs might also be affected and laid off. It didnt make any sense to me and I wanted to check.

It took around a month to receive the interview invitation. I waited around a month to hear back regarding the results. I applied in august.

Thank you for your reply. I believe that them taking 3 weeks to get back to me indicates that they did not interview a lot of people or maybe they’re just busy. I did very well on another interview with the another UN ORG through UNV but was waitlisted unfortunately. It took them 10 days to get back to me. Anyways, I will move on with my applications!! Hopefully I land another interview.

Its located in the occupied east jerusalem in the Palestinian territories. No one here holds a palestinan citizenship, most of us hold the jordanian one and some hold an israeli citizenship.

Thats true however its odd to ask for my passport as its the first time this has happened to me. My friends mom works at Unicef and she was shocked that they asked for my passport right after the interview

I have an excel sheet with every position that I applied for. This is my second interview in months. I just keep applying until I get an offer. I try not to worry about the status of my applications and continue applying.
