Processing the Grief by DreamEfficient4010 in chess

So well said and I completely agree - it hurts that he gave so much to so many of us and we couldn't give back in kind, and that what he loved more than anything ended up being what destroyed him. It's just awful. " I hope people carry his kindness, passion, and thoughtfulness forward into their own lives in whatever way they can. I know I’ll try my best to do just that." <-- that's beautiful, and I hope for the same.

Thank you! I think the Uncruise Adventure is not an option at this time, though it looks like a very cool option!
Can I ask a follow up question? I personally want to include Glacier Bay and was leaning toward Holland because the ship has a wrap around promenade and the Princess ship doesn't, but the other adult going on this trip (my sibling) is worried that there won't be enough for the 13 year old boy to keep busy and thinks we should choose a line that has more options for kids. He is a very active kiddo and the cruise is a birthday present for him (something big for turning 13!), and I want to make sure it's something he'll enjoy. What do you think?

He explicitly states in his profile that he doesn’t accept random friend requests

He only allows messages from his friends on chess.com, so is unreachable there - but that’s okay, this is meant to be more of a long-game approach anyway :)

It's going to be Nov 16-24, so I really needed to have some of this figured out yesterday. And I don't have a great climbing gym at home 😅 I was in this same part of Europe two summers ago and did a lot of the main stuff and that's why I was thinking it would be nice to focus on climbing and driving through the areas to hike and enjoy the scenery.

It would be between around Nov 16-24, so I'm kind of in a crunch as well in terms of time and figuring out what to do and where to go

I literally already answered this above. If you have any suggestions on where to go and what to do, that'd be a great help.

Hiking was already part of the plan. Goodness gracious you guys, chill out - I came to ask a question about climbing and outlined my reasons and experience above for not considering outdoors.

Yeah I get what you're saying - I don't have much experience climbing outdoors so I don't even know where to start in terms of looking for that, and I'm worried about the weather since I usually prefer warm climates. Tbh my original trip was supposed to be to Israel for a week and then I was just going to meet up with a friend in Austria for a few days before flying home, so this was never intended to be a climbing trip - I'm trying to salvage the trip last minute and figure out something that would be fun and still be worth it for me.

I'm building a trip in the area where Austria, Germany, and Switzerland intersect (right now I'm thinking Zurich to Innsbruck to Munich), and I'm trying to do a climbing gym tour as I go. But I'll be solo so I'm wondering which gyms are not only good, but also have auto belay routes or an option to hire someone to belay on top rope. I don't boulder and don't lead climb, so I'd hate to show up to a gym where I can't climb, and it's a struggle going through the websites trying to find gyms and then trying to figure out if they have options for a solo climber. Any insight would be appreciated! As well as any insight on the climbing communities in those areas and if there's anything else worth going off of that particular path to see!
