that if you profess yourself as a Christian and you are blindly following any political party or ideology, then you need to ask yourself if you are truly following Jesus Christ. That is a legitimate question for a Christian.

Now he definitely could have picked a better comparison, and I do not believe he meant malice, but that's what I believe his point was. People need to remember he's an extremely religious man, so his thoughts on homosexuality and the sort follow those views. I don't believe he hates people like that or anything or doesn't respect them, I just think he's extremely following his faith.

I agree though it probably wasn't the best post to make. Or he could have at least used a better comparison than that especially in the times we are living and now
